If Erdz is Erdington, then Kaden Young is not from Erdington. He is from Oldbury or Wednesbury way. Tommi O'Reilly is from Erdington though. Both of those are fantastic prospects but I think that Josh Feeney is the most likely to succeed of all our Academy players.

I may have this wrong but I think this is just for our academy footballers and trialists. We run Teams from U6 to U16s and they have always trained at Bodymore. Having a facility like this on the clubs doorstep will be a great help for attracting kids from the local and greater Birmingham area. I was talking to a West Brom Academy Coach a few years ago and He was saying that West Brom pick up lots of the local kids because they come from poor families and it was impossible to go to train at Bodymore if the Family didn't have a car. Much easier for a lad from Aston to go to West Brom on the bus. He also said that if Villa ever built an inner city training ground the rest of the local League clubs might as well give up. I haven't spoken to him for a couple of years but I believe He is now coaching in the Villa Academy.

We have drawn Tividale at Home in the Birmingham Senior Cup 3rd Round. Almost certain to be switched to their ground on that big hill. I believe that this is the oldest cup competition in the World, but I may be wrong about that. We could win this if we really wanted to and it would be great if we did.

I agree about Kadan. Tommi O'Reilly is another really impressive young player through the academy. He was brilliant at Nuneaton the other night.

Games against Birmingham are always ones that we want to win but Tuesdays FA Youth Cup tie must take preference. I think and hope the Team we fielded at Charlton was with the Youth Cup in mind. We picked the Youth Team Goalkeeper and Back Four and Bogarde in Midfield. Looked to me like a dry run before the Leicester game. All clubs take the Youth Cup seriously. It is the Blue ribbon competition in Junior Football and if you look at the Match Day Programme our 4 wins in the competition are all recorded in the clubs honours list along with League Titles etc. Finally I hope that we bring Carney in for this one as He still qualifies as an U18 for this season. When we won the Youth Cup in 1972 Jimmy Brown was a First Team regular but still played in the Youth Cup games.

Well I "Might" take £50 Million but I would have to know that I could buy a replacement for less, Who is better and what would they cost ?

He is the best Left Back in England in my opinion. Solid defensibly and great going forward. If someone offered £50 million for him I would have to say No.

What a great half from the Boys. So proud of them. Sure Liverpool will win in the end but it is a night most of them lads will never forget. If only we could have fielded Chucky, JPB and Wright tonight.

I would give Cash, Grealish and Watkins a break. I would also like us to take the opportunity to have a look at Traori playing in Ollie's place down the middle. We need cover in this position and various posters have said that Bertrand has a good scoring record while playing there in France. This is a great chance to gauge if He might be an alternative if we don't manage to sign a decent replacement/back up to Ollie.

I know Danny. Proper Villa Fan so that would be a good place to look.

To be honest I don't think He will make the First Team or be a regular in the First Team. In my opinion He is a nice player but not strong enough, like many others unfortunately. Obviously I hope He does make it but I haven't seen anything to suggest He is better than lots of others, but who knows ?

Nial Mason has done the best of all the players we have loaned out but that is like being the tallest Dwarf. The club has to make a judgement and this one could possibly come back to bite us but I don't think it will. Hopefully He will have a career in the lower divisions but we want players who can play in the top division. Hale, Abdo, Sellers and the like, soon to be joined by McKirdy, Cowans, Calder, Toner, Sulliman and several others can't clog up places in the reserves if they are not going to make our First Team. It is very hard but we have to free up spaces for the younger lads and they in turn have a couple of years to make an impact before the next generation will be snapping at their heels. For all the criticism that the club get when releasing young players there are very few who prove the Club wrong. I am not counting Cahill and Davies in this as they both made the first Team and were sold for a fee. If I had to guess at a player who we released that we might regret it would be Jordan Graham but He needs to do a lot more before proving the Club wrong.

Am I the only one who loves the constant superfluous info on Noel?! I enjoy it as well. SGC in real life is exactly how He is on the Internet. He Loves our Club and in particular the Youth System. He is the nicest guy you could ever meet and never says a bad word against anyone. He is far too optimistic about the young players in my opinion but does come up with the odd surprise. He rates Jordan Cox, who I wasn't very impressed by, but lately He is looking a good player and has signed a new deal, so He might just be right about him.

Very unfair. Man City were a class above Villa but our lads effort would put the first Team to shame. Our £80 million first Team are sitting back against the likes of Brentford. This was more like our first Team being pushed back against Real Madrid and putting their body's on the line with last ditch tackles against vastly superior opposition until eventually being worn down and conceding a late goal. I was very proud of the young lads tonight and they should be very proud of their performance.

I am a Season Ticket holder but my main interest is the youth team and U21 Team. I go to Bodymoor often on a Saturday morning and watch the Under 21 Team when I can.
