If we still need to sell to buy after 3 years of austerity and multi billion pound TV deals then I just a ) don't appreciate how strict the rules are or b ) understand what the hell is going on!! I'm the same and that makes me feel that owners can hide behind these if they don't want to invest and take a gamble on what a club has already. Not saying this is happening but surely we are a club that is better of than most in the prem so we should not have teams out doing us that are in theoretically behind us as for they must then be braking rules!!!

I think Rodgers is under big pressure this season and his signings need to come off or be well backed by plop fans so with all the negative talk by them on Benteke this might not happen! I'm sure fans media talk philtres through and has some baring when the manager is under pressure! Grasping at straws with this but he has got to get it right and £32m+ for a player that has not got the majority of the fans behind him is a big gamble witch he has already done with mario!

If the three could be put together then I would imagine clasie would be the deep playmaker delph the box to box and gueye the ball winning player now that sounds good imo

I don't mind players going on to bigger and better things but their is a way of doing it! Players like sterling and delph(if he goes) are what is wrong with football greed and a misplaced sense of greatness! Matt le tissier was a good player and will always have my respect for being loyal! Someone said earlier how can you turn down £millions! Well if your already making £millions and just made a statement of being loyal then you do!!!

IF there is a £10m release clause then I would imagine it would of been a relegation one! If not then what the heck is going on!!!!

Apparantly N'Zonzi has said he wants European football. Also.... Why would he make a sideways step? Lol don't get me started!!! I do think it would be great to have him with Delph and someone who can pass sitting behind them! Also I think him and Delph would be ok as a pair if we went with a two up top.

I said N'zonzi a phew weeks back on here,and was told unrealistic or why would he make a sideways step! Which of course I argued! Think he is who we need if we are going to go with a 3 man midfield or someone similar. One deep playmaker,one ball winner and one box to box type. N'zonzi being the ball winner.

Come again? IMO Huddlestone would be deployed as a deep playmaker like Pirlo and Gerrard in Liverpool's runners-up campaign! Now I don't think he is as good but the talk of him being slow,well Pirlo is hardly a runner and Gerard's legs are not once what they were so can you see what I'm trying to say? I'm not a fan of a 'Pirlo' type player but I do understand the praise he might get, from time to time!

Delph going nowhere,as for Huddlestone he reminds me of a player who many go on and on and on about every time I see him play! He destroyed england he is slow old and hairy! Now the question could be is Huddlestone as good as Pirlo, Well my opinion is, I'm not sure coz I'm not a fan of that type of player ,and seem to dismiss the ability of them all, but let's just take a look at Liverpool when they finished 2nd! Yes the 3 'S' players were the players that got the headlines, but it was an older slower slippy G that was behind most of it the '1/4 back' position which I would imagine Huddlestone would be playing! For me like many others I'm not jumping for joy but then the more I think about it,the more I like it

I think he will be the best RB we have had for a long time! Young/Bacuna/Lowton/Hutton/Melberg (loved him but not at RB)king Carlos and others I may have missed are all below this guy in abilities all round as far as the RB position goes IMO!

Ok I get all of this but......! We support Villa we have had great times we have had bad and this is the but bit.... For better or worse! Leeds fans Man City fans Forest fans and many more can have the same conversation, we could be Preston fans or Luton it's all the same! We support we spend hard owned cash to do so and yes modern day football is a closed shop it would seem in regards to the elite club of super powers. And here's a nother but,we can still enjoy the ups and downs and we can still be proud of are selves because we support no matter what,take the hits take the "you support Villa..... Rearly??"(I live down south all the elite down here) we take it all,and when we get back to the top the sweet feeling we will have will be more pure than any elite fan will ever experience!
