I think playing alongside the likes of Lansbury and Hourihane could bring out the player in Jack. It's obvious he has talent and ability but what fans don't want to see is a young player shrug his shoulders or whinge to the ref all the time if he's knocked off the ball. Being a Villa lad you would expect him to be putting in the extra effort to win the ball back. I don't think Lansbury or Hourihane would let him get away with coasting as he has been. I know I've brought it up numerous times but I'm from Wrexham and a season ticket holder. It's a privallage for the youngsters to make it to the first team and the least you get from them is 100% effort. That's the one thing that pees me off about Jack. He doesn't demonstrate that.

For that sort of fee it's more than worth taking a chance. His assists and goals stats this season are fine. That's worth him being labelled poor or whatever this season too. He's probably suffering from some burnout from the Euros but a move could spark him back, plus a free summer this year should see him alright.

Is there any evidence Jedinak is on 55k? One article from the anus of the Internet can end up being portrayed as fact. If he's mopping up behind Lansbury and Hourihane, breaking opposition attacks up and giving the ball to either of them then he'll be worth a good wage and will pay it back via PL money when we go up next season. He's been having to do more than at Palace and people are judging him harshly for it imo.
