When we make it to the Prem, Hourihane is going in my fantasy team, he'll be one of those 5.5/6m gems that everybody jumps on the bandwagon with after a while and you cry inside. In a day and age where managers are sacked here, there and everywhere after 10/15 games, do people really expect Bruce not to be caring about results and throwing in youngsters when he knows there is no job security and people will focus on the result rather than the development of youth? 10 years ago, maybe he would be afforded the patience and understanding but just reading this message board is enough reason to understand why he's more focused on the wins and rising the more senior players. A clean sheet and a win against a good side in this league and he's still getting this sort of prodding. He really can't win with some.

Suspect this wouldn't be the case should, next season, we play well 8 games out of the first 10 and only win 2 of them. Then it'd be a case of not having enough points and wanting Bruce out for that reason instead.

The owners had to bring in a few players in January because nobody is taking over and they took in about £20m or so from losing Snodgrass and Livermore. Yes, absolutely, I don't/didn't want to turn it into a Westwood thing, many midfielders over the past few years can be accused of the same. Our goals from midfield has been atrocious and not really due to poor finishing, more just even getting into scoring positions in the first place. Hourihane is a at least getting himself in there.
