That is exactly what we should have but I don't think we will have the money to sign the players needed after those two have come in and it looks likely Martinez will come at some time too

What's this Sophie choice? I want Eduoard so bad but I have to stick to what is most needed now Watkins is in the squad and that is a wide forward in the mould of a playmaker so it has to be Rashica

His scoring record is crap but I do see something in him that makes me think he could be decent. Having said that there are some opportunities (not King) out there for which making space in the squad would make sense

Yes I have seen he may go on loan to Crystal Palace. I am not writing off Samatta I would be happy for him to be third choice its just if this lad is going cheap it may be a good opportunity to improve.

I have two lists These should go regardless.... Nyland, Kalinic, Lansbury, Jota, Hogan. These should go if we get another in their position Taylor, Elmo, Engels, Samatta (if we sign two strikers) I'd loan out any of our kids to League 1 and the Championship

I would have thought less championship players flop than foreign imports when you are looking at the players who are signed for say 10m plus. I don't think it would be fair to include the cheap ones as they were likely only ever brought to fill the squad of a club.

I just had an idea..... dangerous I know. We could sell Samatta this summer, I'm sure someone would pay half what we paid for him so circa 5m. How about bringing in Batshuayi? High wages no doubt I would be surprised if he was currently on less than 80k a week, however the fee's being talked about are very low and you would think out of Wesley, Batshuayi and Watkins (even though I don't want to pay 33m for him) we would have a striker who will score 15 goals in a season with two competent back ups.... Thoughts? Edit... Just looking up his stats on transfermarkt and his stats across the leagues he has played in are surprisingly similar it looks like he just hasn't had enough game time. That’s what I fear most spending so much on these players we have either signed or have now properly bid for we won’t have enough for the wide forwards and a centre back, preferably a central midfielder too. For me a goal keeper would be my 8th priority

Oh yea I agree it’s off a cliff for him at Stoke I just don’t think he has done a joe hart or Paul Robinson and relatively it’s a small fee for someone who’s probably going to be a number 2 to push for the first team

its a combination of fee and being a back up for me that's all, I'm not anti buying him on the basis he plays second fiddle that would be like turning down the Man Utd number two.

This window has scrambled my head a bit I think, I can't wait until the football starts so I can clear it all up. Also if I were to be spending some significant money on a keeper, as in a proper long term head and shoulders above anyone else keeper.... First I think I would do it in a summer after a good finish in the league so I could attract someone people like Onana might be obtainable if he still hadn't moved and we finished in the top half in a year or two. If i were really worried about Heaton I would take the risk on Butland for 5-7 million, after all they were keen on him a year ago.

Not at all I would be happy to pay that sort of price for a goal keeper (not this window) but I would have thought we could get a keeper with a bit more history for want of a better description for that price.

Ok but we have a good keeper in Tom Heaton and a decent back up in Jed Steer. Genuinely I am confused as to why he costs so much when he is basically a nobody who got some games post lock down, I am just really pessimistic on that basis alone.

Well I would have definitely said two before this window started however if we are signing players like King then he isn't playing striker for us with Watkins in the team and Wesley when he gets back. so having said that I assume we aren't going for those wide playmakers who chip in with goals but much a more narrow second strike. Personally I hate that I wanted a striker and two playmaker types like Benrahma and Buendia
