I wouldn't see him costing more than 10m to be honest due to his lack of play time and injuries. He must be in his last year or two of his contract by now as well. Edit - Just looked him up he has 2 years left with an option for an extra.... FYI though he has played 10 times in the Premier League and 30 times in the Championship he is 23 in November, he has played 3700 mins in his entire career competitively, which is the equivalent of about 38 games almost solely in the Championship with us. For me there is no way they could legitimately demand a massive fee for him and realistically get it.

No doubt he will play on the right of a front three for some games or make a tactical move there during some games but you are correct there is no way we have shelled out that price for the Watkins of two seasons ago who was playing wide forward rather than the Watkins of last season playing centre forward. In other words Eduoard isn't coming unless we play two up top which I highly doubt.

Selling on a free not releasing. You would only release with agreement to lower wage obligations. I can’t imagine no one would want them on a free transfer.

It is possible to have zero wide forwards or wingers, going 3 at the back and the newly brought Cash and Targett our left back who is better going forward than defending provide width. i just don’t think we will do that. It’s 443 4231 or 451 which is really 443 but defending

We haven't brought him as a wide forward, he may play there occasionally but there is no way he has been brought to play there as his main position

Pfft no way are we buying Eduoard now. King maybe as he plays as a wide forward and striker but we haven’t just brought a striker for 28-33 million to play him as a wide forward MOST of the time.

So the Martinez transfer seems to becoming something real, in which case we must get rid of two keepers this window even on frees if needed to get rid of those wages.
