Paul Mortimer now there's a name from the past. In fairness he was quite cultured - just plain moody and never seemed like he wanted to be here. didnt he have a rant in front of the holte after scoring one time ??

Sorry I haven't been keeping up to date - are we really in talks to swap Gardner for Jota? Now I have no real dislike of Gardner, but this would represent good business for me. i have rated Jota for a long time and I feel he will get more game time - than some might think.

With all due respect there is no way imo that we are better than Wolves. Yes you are right to point out the 4-1 victory against them - but actually the way they dismantled us at Molineux was an even greater achievement imo. Nuno is a first class manager and one that I'm sure Dean would respect and in some ways aspire too. I have little doubt that we will sooner rather than later - return to being Midlands champions - but for now let's have it right, the Dingles are a good side

TRO - football is jobs for the boys these days and they all look out for each other - did you really expect anything different ? It very rarely happens.

The only foundations this guy laid were for a few more seasons in the chumpionship - I have zero sympathy for the guy. He is yesterday's man - and I am glad he went when he did. Not a moment to soon. He really thought he was doing us the favour - and his cheap shots at his own public imo were totally out of order.

I agree - I have felt for some time that Scott will end up at Griffin park once more. Maupay worried me for a while with his attitude, however he now seems to have moved past the stage - when he wanted to cause a riot evetytime he stepped on a football pitch - I'd be happy if we could strike a deal along these lines.

Personally I agree 100% TRO - however if we are struggling at the wrong end of the prem come January - don't be surprised to see him fired. this is modern day football I am afraid to say, You only have to look at the scandalous way that Chris Houghton has been treated to see this, anyway in Dean we trust !!

I agree with a lot of what you say - however I am not certain that many of us were dissapointed with the McCormack signing - I feel a lot of us thought we were signing a pretty accomplished goal getter at this level ?

TRO - you haven't really said anything differently to me. Although I would argue - you lean towards Bruce's slant of this sorry saga. McCormack is not a victim imo TRO - but to this day I believe Bruce has to show up here - that he is far from Blameless imo again.

In fairness I think we've all probably been guilty of this at some point - during our villa careers In terms of SJM - as others have said - I think a week of the right mix of RR and light training and he'll be right back at it - I can see him marauding all over Wembley.

I feel there is plenty of goodwill towards Andre - coupled with a lot of hope, but equally there is doubt as to his ability to become a really top footballer

It's totally relevant imo - it's nothing to do with the era in which these guys played.TRO is making a valid point that Green should be displaying more than he currently is doing - age is not important really - it's all about ability. Like TRO I also want him to do well for us.

I would be extremely surprised if he is still here in 2 years. Like most wide men he is very inconsistent - but when push comes to shove I don't think he is good enough - I would love for him to prove us doubters wrong and I wish him well.

I'm not so sure about the excellent crosses tbh - but it's all down to opinions. Relax I am a fan and would not be in the least bit surprised if he scores the winning goal tomorrow night.

I agree - he is like so many talented wingers before him. He has the skills, speed, everything needed to become a top player - but unless he reaches that elite level, and for what it's worth I don't believe he will - we are going to have to put up with a talented but inconsistent footballer.
