    John Terry

What! If you really believe this - then I'm afraid it's a case of more fool you imo. This appears that Your just splitting hair tbh with you. i'd want to know why the best English defender of the last generation and on the pay roll - would not be defensive coach. I don't blame Terry - it might simply be the players cannot follow his instructions and for all we know it might be his insight that lead to us signing Mings?
  2. 50% I do agree with - he absolutely should be given more time ( you can't escape the fact he's working without the teams talisman ). Am I totally convinced he is the right man? No I am not - but I want to see him given a fair crack of the whip - his predecessor was given a fair crack and so should Dean be. Imo
  3. In all fairness it should not have been 2-0 really - so if we had got the second goal who knows ! its all ifs buts and maybe's this morning. But no matter how you view the game overall - to snatch a point the way we did is fantastic. Our promotion push could have ended last night - the psychological damage inflicted could have taken a few games to get over - games we don't have in all honesty
  4. Having followed us since my first game in 76/77 Royal Antwerp at home - I will share this, in my view villa park atmosphere has always been hit and mis - why ? I have no idea. Sometimes the atmosphere is amazing and others totally lacklustre. Maybe size of the ground might be a factor whereby " singers" are spread too thinly and maybe stop bothering?
  5. Your a lucky man TRO to have such wonderful memories - Alex Alex Cropperrleey ! I can still hear the chant now. Courage of a lion this man
  6. Completely and utterly unfounded. I'm one of a number on here who have never resorted to personal abuse of the man - I just happen to think that he is a totally average football manager. I have held these thoughts for many years - way before he unfortunately rocked up with us. I knew the day he arrived what we would be getting - unfortunately he didn't disappoint
  7. It doesn't matter - what does is the fact we missed promotion !
  8. I agree totally - its folly to describe missing out on promotion as a blessing in disguise
  9. No - just because I disagree with you - does not make me silly - you sound just like another poster on here - that you know well. Tell you what phone the club and ask to speak with the powers that be - they'll tell you in more elequent terms than I ever could - just how much a disaster last season was. You do realise because of the promotion guru's inability to deliver his targets ( again I must add) - we could have lost our club? Yes I agree that he wasn't in charge of the clubs coffers - but if he had delivered - the mess would not have happened and we might still have Johnstone, Terry and Snodgrass
  10. Oh it really was - with respect your fooling yourself only.
  11. I hated missing out on promotion AGAIN despite all the resource given to the promotion guru - that's where I sit ps - please tell me you would not have him back ?
  12. Why am I not surprised by the above comments. surely anyone would realise that McCormack will need time to rebuild his fitness - after all he only came back from Oz because of injury, it's no surprise at all to me that he is benched at the moment - then again why let facts get in the way of a good troll eh Stevo
  13. Ridiculous comment in my opinion - I have no idea why someone would be moved to post this ??
  14. TRO - every time you bring that Cropley bloke up - you set me off on one - what a player
  15. Sid Cowans's of this world only come around every so often
  16. Give him the chance TRO - he's the best passer of the ball we have now
  17. No it's not ok - but it's ok to say he is a bang average football manager who was given enough resource to to win promotion - but he didn't. As for promotion who knows if this will be the scenario
  18. In respect of blaming a manager here is my take on this: Once a player crosses the white line it does become a bit of a lottery in so much that a manager cannot do anything about an over hit/ under hit pass - poor decision making etc etc However the manager is responsible for how a team sets up to attack and defend and for me this is what separates the wheat from the chaff - good managers can change things around in play - others cannot, this is my view TRO
  19. Glad your back JV - I appreciate your humour. Right back on topic now fella
  20. Agreed Where have you been lately - more time in solitary ?
  21. I cannot agree with this train of thought - we've just gotten rid of Mk2 - personally I don't want an Allardyce, Hughes, Moyes, Pullis near our club ever again + he has an ego bigger than Bruce. For me I am prepared to give DS time - the play off is still a legitimate target for us and a number of other clubs around us.
  22. I'm not in favour of getting rid of DS however I do agree that we are still capable of recruiting a manager who has achieved more to date
  23. Even then he wasn't exactly great - his goals were keeping him in the side, I felt at time he was plain ordinary - goals aside
  24. We also played some pretty turgid stuff - the way we surrended at Molineux was nothing short of pathetic - Wolves literally wiped the floor with us on the night.
