  1. We’ve got areas the team need to continue to work on and club need to try and improve. That’s why we are currently mid-table in the league. If we didn’t need this improvement we’d be challenging for the title. It’s fair to discuss the issues costing us wins but I see a lot more to be positive about than negative. I’m really enjoying the way we attack teams and looking forward to each game. Bring on Wolves! edit: I’m actually a lot more concerned about our lack of squad depth than any defensive frailties. A few injuries and we really will struggle.
  2. I heard they actually referred to the coach as ‘negro’. Which they are trying to explain is an acceptable term in Romania. They have f**ked up.
  3. He has saved us by coming inside to cover more times that it has cost us.
  4. Yeh but hearing some on here you’d think we should be close to the bottom.
  5. I don’t get how Whoscored works but we are the top rated team both defensive and offensive! Although we have played 2 games less to be fair.
  6. Nor can I mate. It’s an area that the team has worked on hard and massively improved upon since the restart last season. No team will never concede from set pieces. Yet when we do it’s a frailty!
  7. You can’t talk about last season just to fit your narrative. The fact is 2 set pieces conceded in 9 games is not a bad stat! I don’t care how it feels to you when we are defending.
  8. Frail on set pieces? We’ve conceded 2 out of 11 goals from set pieces. (I’m not counting Ward-Prowse as they were direct). If that’s the bench mark for frail on set pieces I think every team in the league has the same problem.
  9. He had a free shot in the penalty area yesterday and against Man U. The only other 2 games I’ve seen Brighton play. He missed them both. You’re right though, what the hell is Smith teaching these players!
  10. He’ll never score a goal like that again, especially with his right foot. Whilst I think Luiz should have tracked back the chances of March finishing that way were very slim.
  11. If you are going to compare us to other teams surely it has to be based on a range of games. You can’t pick one where we were bad and one where they are good and then say why can’t we do that!
  12. But on a serious note it’s same coach, same tactics, same players, same attitudes etc. Only difference is the keeper. Wilder goes from manager of the year candidate to close to the sack. Such fine margins in this league. Once you hit rock bottom and struggle to win games. It begins a very difficult place to remain.
  13. It’s not the cameras and technology that is the problem. It’s the people making the decisions and the interpretations. Why are they doing this?
  14. It’s a fix mate. They are trying to even the decisions up throughout a season. We can all see it’s not a penalty. Scandalous. Has for Harry Kane. I thought he just held his ground.
  15. Have they really just given that penalty because Brighton already had 3 big decisions go their way?
  16. Our January transfer window could get decided by injuries again. After all the games in December all it takes is one or two longer terms injuries and we are left very light in a position. Barkley aside we’ve been quite lucky with injuries up to know. Really need it to continue.
  17. Where you seen this mate? I thought all was well at Brighton. There results of late would suggest so.
  18. I heard he invented the bicycle kick. I think it was him anyway.
  19. Millwall fans are scum. Always have been always will be. Regardless of what happened today.
  20. Fair points but his parents were both Greek so regardless of where he was born I would class him as Greek.
  21. I would say he was Greek as both his parents were of Greek origin.
  22. I think he was born modern day Turkey but at the time was part of Roman Empire. Still I’m pretty sure many English think he was born here.
  23. I still reckon Luiz should step up for next one.
  24. What about a person that think all these racist thoughts and insults in their mind and perhaps even says them in their own social circles but wouldn’t dare speak them in public as understand the implications? They despise people of a different colour and make decisions in life based on that. The you get the guy that has grown up, worked with, lived around and has friends of a different colour. Yet in the heat of the moment, emotionally charged and angry, he f**ked up and said something he shouldn’t have and regrets it. But what’s done is done. The first person is a good guy, second person is forever a racist.
