How's about this: The £23.5m deal includes a buy-back option for three years and the Reds will get 15% of any sell-on fee. So, if they decide to invoke the buy-back clause, does that mean they are essentially only paying 85% of the fee?

I was thinking the same...6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) with 4 goals in 2 games for Australia, but has been on loan in League One the past two seasons...

I think this is an overlooked fact...for example, despite finishing near the bottom of the table in the 2012-13 season, I had a lot of fun watching and it seemed like most of the players had a lot of fun on the pitch together. Most of the squad were within a few years of each other and it really seemed like they enjoyed playing with each other and got along well. I think that will be an extra boost this season.

Does anyone else wonder if this signing wouldn't have happened if Jack hadn't eventually gotten called up to the England squad? Not necessarily because it made Jack an England international, but gave Jack a chance to boost up the club in person.
