    I know they exist. But I have a fair idea what would happen if we brought a foreign manager in and you know too. Do you? I couldn't possibly say what would happen without knowing who it would be. Yes, I know this forum too well. If you think a new manager is going to thrive on a limited budget and make us perfect within 18 months without any set backs or low periods, then you are lying to yourself. I know it's incredibly difficult not to think in black and white only, but what if a new manager couldn't make Villa perfect but could actually do a better job than Lambert?

    A huge success? Really? Absolutely. No striker coming off the bench has scored a single goal for Villa all season. Pretty sure ( I may be wrong ) the only goal scored from a sub was Bacuna's against Cardiff. Why would you expect Grant Holt to do much more?

    People expecting him to score 5-7 goals in 17 games, presumably as s bench player... Talk about setting him up to fail. I'd say if he scores a single 3-point winning goal he'd be a huge success.

    We only played 5-3-2 for about 10 mins before Baker went off. After that it was 4-4-2 with Delph on the left. Not sure if Luna crossed the half way line.

    It's a very low risk signing - basically if he's not required to play due to players being fit/in good form, then he'd be a relative success. How much lower could expectations go? If he actually scores a goal he'd be a grand slam or something.

    Losing the dressing room? Did you see the difference his team talk made in the second half against Arsenal? Couldn't disagree more with that notion. Someone should let him know he could give a team talk before kick off too.

    I'm by no means anti Lambert ( except for the god awful football he makes us play ), but why use stats to compare to last season's first half? Surely it'd make more sense to compare this half season's stats to the stats from last season's second half as it is the immediately preceeding one. Or compare to the stats from McLeish's first half a season, as he was the previous manager.

    Because they actually can't play any other way, regardless of the competition? Must be something that happens on the training groud, coupled with the quality of the players.

    His technique is OK. I just think he should have noticed by now that when the guy he is aiming for (mostly Kozak) heads it down, there is nobody within 10 yards to pick it up, so it goes straight back to the opposition, which puts Guzan back under pressure within 10 seconds.... This is true, but it's not Guzan's fault, cause if he'd pass to someone closer to him he'd get the ball back within seconds, so eventually he'd need to hoof it.
