    Me too, I keep ignoring that bit of my brain that is questioning the mighty Villa. You can get 80/1 for the arse to win the first half and us to win overall. I might have a go on that.

    I'd like to see that side, and it's the one most likely I think. I'm not sure Sinclair will start because he's not played for quite a while, but it would be good to see us attack them with width.

    Right then, now Sinclair is on board I reckon this: Guzan Hutton Clark Okore Cissokho Sanchez Delph Gil Sinclair Weimann Benteke Go nice and attacking, we're not going to win the game by not scoring again, so we might as well go for it. To be honest, I'm not sure Sinclair would be match fit, he hasn't played for a fair while now so I doubt he'll start, it's fun to put new names in a team sheet though!

    Sinclair could go either way (good, bad, or in between), but at least a half season loan means that we have a chance to try before we buy effectively. It's a smart move really considering the amount of time he's been out. He didn't do much at West Brom, but if he can recapture his Swansea form he'll be decent for us.

    I probably over did it a bit in that post, apologies but alot of the Lambert out camp don't wanna acknowledge how shit Benteke has been lately because it doesn't fit in with their agenda. I don't want Benteke sold btw, I just want him to start giving everything for the team and sort himself out. Fair enough mate, no worries. Apols if I took it the wrong way. That's what I want too; Benteke on form is lethal, hope he's back to his original self soon.

    @Bunnski: So because I don't think it's a good idea to sell Benteke right now (assuming there's someone to buy, I haven't heard of an offer being made) you think I have an agenda against the manager? If you can find a post of me criticising Paul Lambert I'd be amazed. I think Benteke is going through a really poor patch in terms of goal scoring, but that's not out of the ordinary for strikers, or any player, or any person come to that. My comments have nothing to do with the manager, they were about selling Benteke now, which I think would be wrong to do.

    Selling Benteke now would be madness. He's obviously going through a goal drought, which I think is partly just what happens to strikers sometimes, and partly because we are creating very little, but I don't see how selling him now and desperately trying to sign another striker would solve that.

    I just got my PS4 a few weeks ago, before that I'd still been on the old PS3 (60gb launch day console). I am so impressed with it. I have Far Cry 4, which I absolutely love, and DriveClub which I think isn't a great game but came free with the console so is fine for a freebie (I'd be a bit gutted if I paid £39.99 though). Love the console, just done the 14 day free trial of PS Plus, and I'll do the year subs once that runs out.

    I'd forgotten we got £26m for him. Mmm. We got £18m plus Stephen Ireland, with the popular idea that Ireland was worth £8m. So in reality we got £18m minus Stephen Ireland's wages. Ahh, of course. What a con that turned out to be.

    Could be, but I think Hutton is better than Lowton, and Guzan is better than Given, and Gil seems better than N'Zog. The team I posted there is just a prediction of the side, not saying they're aren't all frequent starters because most are.

    I think we should go for our strongest side, try and have a good cup run, rather than it being a AV Reserves vs Bournemouth 1st XI. I think we will play a semi-reserve side, with Given and a couple of the other lads that don't start as much, probably something like: Given Lowton Okore Clark Cissokho Delph Sanchez Bacuna N'Zogbia Benteke Weimann Can't see us scoring more than 1 (if we can score at all), so if they score we've had it.

    They are two totally different players but in no way is Aluko better than Delph. Aluko isn't better than his sister tbh, awful footballer/ I've not seen her play but I think she's just what we need, any youtube vids? Well shut my cynical mouth... lol.
