It's a derby so I'd say there's a good chance of it getting picked for TV (actually, are they all on TV?) so good chance of it being moved I thought they might go for arsenal Man Utd on TV, but I suppose some on BT sport... So it might get moved. Gutted if it is Saturday as I can't make it.

I thought that too, I don't know if it's just wishful thinking but he did say clearly that the short term goal is obviously keeping Villa in the PL, but long term the goal is to push on... I suppose this could mean towards a mid table finish... but I'd take solid mid-table to be honest, and build from there.

First time Sherwood will pick the team, but you'd assume he'd have a lot of assistance from the Marshalls after only 5 days of watching training. For that reason I think we'll go similarly to how we went against Leicester, but with a few changes, so something like: Guzan Hutton Clark Vlaar Cissokho Cleverley Westwood Delph Gil Benteke Bacuna As much as I like certain attributes of Weimann and Gabby, I just think it sends the right message to start Bacuna. I know he makes mistakes, but he really did provide the turning point for us on Sunday. I've left out Sinclair just because I think he's still a little off starting in terms of sharpness. @Samjp26 - great minds eh?

Totally agree DDID. Ok so he got a little lucky, sometimes that's what you need to believe in yourself a bit more. The lad needs confidence, like when he was flying high at Swansea. He's been in the wilderness too long, and if he blows this chance you'd probably expect he'd have to drop a division, or go to a newly promoted side. I think he'll be ok for us, and will compliment Gil nicely of the two play together.

I don't really understand what's going on in this. Did Sherwood confront Jorge Jesus because he was dancing about, and then who was that other bloke that Jesus went a bit mad at after, was that because he tripped him a bit? Might've completely misinterpreted that! Lol.

You mean weird that he just signed under Lambert and now it's Sherwood? I suppose it would be a bit strange, but all the players are in a similar boat really. Certainly seems like a good player to me. Great attacking mentality, and seems like a likeable chap (although ive only ever read translated interviews), if he keeps scoring and assisting he won't upset too many people.

He won't feel the benefit when he goes back outside.

Did he have anything to do with Gil, or wasn't he back with us when he was scouted? Not that it matters particularly, it's just that if he's unearthed a few gems like that then who know what he'll get in the future.

That save was totally world class, really impressed with his performance today. I was gutted for him that we didn't keep a clean sheet. It's almost a shame that we have two such high quality keepers because one won't start most of the time. I thought today was great, but honestly I'd still start the league with Guzan.

Right then, now it's been confirmed I'm behind him 100%. Come on Tim; get the team scoring, keep the defence solid(ish), avoid relegation, sign players to strengthen through the summer on a limited budget, but don't let the wage bill rise... Good luck mate.
