    Totally agree. Arsenal losing to us yesterday was being talked about along with the Liverpool loss to Palace… like both has slipped up to much lower opposition… I mean you wouldn’t expect either to lose at home, but us winning is hardly a 100/1 long shot!

    So Spurs have: Arsenal (h) Chelsea (a) Liverpool (a) Burnley (h) Man City (h) Sheff Utd (a) Very difficult to predict but I would say they’re likely to get a LWLWLW out of that, so probably 9 points… but by no means any certainty about that, just based on what I think is likely. whereas we have: Bournemouth (h) Chelsea (h) Brighton (a) Liverpool (h) Palace (a) With three home games, and going away to Brighton I think we’ll get something like: WDWLW then we’d be on 70pts. But even if we only win our home games then that’ll be enough to be 3 points ahead of Spurs. BUT then even if we only win against Bournemouth and Palace we’d just need to sneak a draw somewhere else (or rely on goal difference).

    I have an Arsenal mate and he’s not confident at all, he says that he’s been burned by them too many times before with too many false dawns… sounds like us lot!

    God imagine! That would be amazing. You never know they certainly aren’t some sort of invincible side. I think we’ll score, but I think we’ll also concede… would take a 2-2 draw!

    Does anyone know if there are any restrictions on which way I can walk to the ground from Witton Station? Against Ajax some roads were close to pedestrians I think?

    Thanks Brommy! That’s perfect. Yeah, he’s 6 now and he’s been to a game. He loved it, but it was hard to keep his focus and attention, obviously. I think I’ll try and take him one or twice more this year (including next season) and see how it goes. It’s looking quite good timing wise though, I think he’ll be 7/8 when I get the chance to buy so that’ll work out well. thanks again bud.

    No, I’m feeling that way too, I don’t know if it’s just the draw with Brentford at the weekend but I feel like we might struggle. BUT we have Emery the genius at the helm, so that gives us one huge advantage. Who do we play if we get to the semi? I feel like that was drawn at the same time but can’t remember who it was?

    To be fair he’s a competent striker, if he hadn’t played so many games for Burnley he’d probably have a higher goal tally

    I agree, it’s just one metric that gains a massive amount of attention. The only stat that matters is actual goals! I think it’s part of the Americanisation of everything. Like in NFL, which is a mass of stats which generally do predict the outcome. In football though, you can have 80% possession, 4 xG, and still lose…
