As the original poster said. Bednerek is a big improvement on Konsa. Konsa gets bullied every game. He’s slow, rubbish in the air and weak. I struggle to see any reason we would ever start konsa over Bednerek if we had both

Yeah I think I’d pretty much agree with this. I’d argue burn would 100% be starting cb for us over mings. It’s interesting to look at though.

Out of curiosity which of our 11 would you think are better than Newcastle? Kamara, coutinho (maybe), digne and cash. Other than that I’m struggling

I think we need to reluctantly accept Newcastle have had a great transfer window and unfortunately will just get better and better moving forwards. Hopefully we have a bit of action at the end of the transfer window to cheer us all up

I actually think Bednerek would be quite good. Very good in the air which would certainly help us from offensive and defensive set plays. Also potentially links up well with cash at RB due to polish connection.

If it was me in control I’d want someone in the mold of Ndidi and another centre half with a bit of height and strength (maybe this one we are linked with from Turkish league). Maybe someone like Sarr assuming we have back up options as an additional option in case Stevie finally decides to switch it up and play with wingers
