  1. That would be my take as well, what's the difference between the two if you are just going to link them up.
  2. Exactly. They have it the wrong way round at the minute. So much focus on all the other aspects when the racing this year has been some of the worst of the last 10 years. I don't like the bigger tyres or the wear of them anymore. DRS is overpowered on this new spec of car and the cars in general seem to be more reliable than ever. Where is the jeopardy or tactics coming from anymore?
  3. Perez Red Bull must already be on the hunt for a new number 2. Mclarens upgrades certainly seem to have worked as well.
  4. Exactly, it’s not always about marquee signings, anytime you can upgrade parts of the team it’s a positive step.
  5. Anyone hoping we will be in the top 4 next season is going to be sorely dissapointed. Newcastle only fluked it this year because a few teams normally there underperformed. 6th will be a success for us.
  6. We’ve got Liverpool at home.
  7. Do you want to go out with me, please tick yes or no
  8. Honestly though, how many players do wow like that. You could pull out a hell of a highlights package for Traore and i think we all knows he's crap. We have to just trust that Emery knows what they will bring to the team as he's looking at the bigger picture.
  9. Don't mind either solution. 100% what they need is variables to mix up races, at the moment there just isn't enough and when you also have a dominant car at the front where is the entertainment coming from?
  10. I'm not a massive fan of it but I remember the days before it was introduced and you would literally have 40 laps of a clearly faster car stuck behind someone and not being able to do anything about it. You could argue that if a driver can go 40 laps without making a mistake they deserve to keep the place but its not exactly a fun spectacle to watch but then again neither is watching someone push a go faster button and cruise past someone. DRS with caveats seems the only logical solution really.
  11. Someone mentioned during the race that DRS should only be available for a limited amount of time, either that or a number of laps to use so there is still some tactics involved and its not just there all the time. I do agree with that.
  12. Well you could argue that faster cars probably should and will find their natural positions eventually but at least there is some racing to get there. Anything more than that is artificially influencing races.
  13. F1 has never been the same since refuelling was banned. Regardless of everything else going on, that always ensured different strategies were always at play, sometimes not fully unfolding until the final laps. Ultra reliable cars all on the same fuel load to the finish and pretty much all utilising the same number of stops doesn't play out to exciting races unfortunately. Something definitely needs to be done, obviously without artificially influencing things too much... I think one lap Q3 qualifying runs would be a good start to least mix up the grids a bit more.
  14. To be honest its not the Red Bull dominance that bothers me, ironically its not the battle for the lead that necessarily determines how entertaining a season or race is. I would say bigger factors are close racing, mixed up grids, changeable weather, pit lane drama, driver rivalry, exciting race tracks... Unfortunately this season has almost had none of the above
  15. Did you see the 2007 and 2008 seasons?
  16. Needs a safety car desperately. God help the casual f1 fans this season or people relatively new to the sport, you might be tuning out to find something more interesting. All the work done last season to bring the cars closer together has just been erased and we’re back to normal but with a dominant Red Bull instead.
  17. 12 kilos signing bonus, imagine the street value on that
  18. If I was a Chelsea fan I would be furious at this. These players are on millions and they really don’t look like they give a toss.

    Unai Emery

To be fair he’s barely put a foot wrong and I doubt even the likes of Klopp and Guardiola could have gotten much more out of this team during the time he’s been in charge. He won’t win it though but that’s fine.
  20. It used to be cheap and consistent, with all the recent price rises you could argue it’s neither these days. It wasn’t that long ago you could get a Big Mac and fries for 1.99 or a full meal for 2.99. Can’t even get a triple cheese burger for less than 3 quid now.
  21. Barnes might not be the most exciting signing but he’s definitely an upgrade on some of our players on stats alone. Add another 2-3 players like that and we’re definitely better off next season.
  22. Regardless of anything else that’s wrong with F1 at the moment if you race at crap tracks you get crap races, it’s that simple.
  23. I’m all for trying something different but this is just nonsense.
  24. Seen Mr. In-between popping up a few times recently in this thread so started it yesterday and got through pretty much the first season. Really enjoying it so far, the main guy is very good.
  25. This is definitely on the cards, I read a book about it some time ago by a fella called Herbert.
