    For a half decent Full Back in the PL it may be,however we are talking about Hutton here! Redknapp pissed himself laughing when we signed him last summer.

    Hutton on 30k per week is shocking,it will be difficult to shift him.

    I am not saying that we won't sign any players in this window & a LB may well be signed shortly but the overhaul will take time as prudent spending is required,we cannot afford to waste money like we have done over the last 4 years. Lambert will address the issues give the guy a chance,we all myself included want to see 4/5 new signings including a Hollywood one but the price/package has to be right for AVFC.

    Do folk on here not think that Lambert can see the obvious weakness and depth of the squad that we can all see? The Board will be well aware of it themselves,patience is required as re-building the squad will take 12-18 months.

    It is not possible to give out those kind of chances at PL level,you get a few opportunities and you have to prove yourself & size the moment. 10-15 games could damage the team and put us near the bottom again.

    Nothing on the Official DLC website about him neither is he listed in their squad atm.

    I think that it is fair to say that Dunne is more likely to leave on a free next Summer,like Trent says who is going to pay £3 million for him. We may have to wait until next summer for Warnock to go aswell.

    Lambert is no mug he is quite aware that the squad needs improving but this will not happen overnight,Villa will take time to re-build,Keep the Faith have some patience and back your team,I include myself in that!

    Doug Did very nicely out of Aston Villa, He was also paid a large salary to be the Chairman/CEO of the Club! Randy will support the Club but Bucket loads of cash simply ain't going to happen, imo he is right to run the Club as a business.
