    Huth has just signed a new contract Roy,we need some backbone in the team,a complete new spine imo;Keeper,CH,CM& CF.

    Shawcross needs a change of club,Lambert would get the player to concentrate on the best parts of his game.

    Only in a straight swap for Hutton. Shawcross would be worth a punt though.

    I think from the lower levels Tom Ince would be a good shout,but in the defence (LB & CH ),Centre Mid & a Striker we need strength & experience.

    The team needs more experience,the last time we tried to use young plyers in key roles we got relegated! This was the 86-87 era when Mortimer & Bremner were booted out and Turner tried to replace them with Bradley & Glover from the Youth set up,at the time those lads were not ready/good enough for that level. The Club know they need players but it will take at least 3 transfer windows to turn this team around,there is no quick fix.

    Poulsen in at LB might be a possibility rather than Cresswell,Reo-Coker is just an average player imo,not a good idea to bring back ex players.

    No point in re-signing players like Carew, also Owen is well past his best now.

    It does not take a football genius to see that we need players badly,it is there for all to see,Randy knows we have to buy. If he does not spend then the team will go down plain as that. On that note expect some transfers but not marquee ones!

    Best Wishes to Gary Gardner,so unlucky with those injuries but a good player who hopefully can fully recover and resume his career.

    I think that supporters should wait until the Transfer Window closes before judging Lambert,Randy,Faulkner or whoever,I still understand that players will be both coming & hopefully one or two going aswell. It is frustrating but better to get the right players in at the right price. UTV

    Liverpool lost 3-0 just as a reminder & they won't get relegated,it is the first game of the season,changes to the squad will have to be made now & maybe in January the Board know it just as we all know it. If there are no signings made in the next 2 transfer windows & we in the bottom 3 in December then lets discuss it then,for now close the thread.
