    Slow start, kept lumping it back to them. Once we scored, we looked so much better and some of our inter-play was out of this world! Not sure what’s up with Dougie though, seems miles off the pace

    Good point. There was a train of thought that we could be playing Palace at the wrong time after their 7-0 drubbing. Yet we were just simply better then them. Maybe we’re still shackled by the inevitable doubt the last few years has bought upon us, when we should go in confident we can get something, regardless of the opposition. UTV

    This is key for me. He needs to have a bit more humility about himself and not assume he can casually do things at his own pace. There’s no doubt he is a solid defender, but he needs to be at it for 90 minutes

    What a time to be a Villa fan!! Ollie adds so much to the team, that we don’t need to rely on him scoring, but I reckon once they do start going in, he’ll bang them in for fun. I can’t believe how important a signing Emi has been. He’s unbelievable And a quick word on Tyrone, I wonder if he’ll struggle to get back into the first 11. If Konsa and Hause play as well, against Chelsea, as they did in that second half, he’ll surely be on the bench for United

    If he’s fit enough to be available, maybe he could give us 60 minutes? I’m just thinking he definitely can’t play on the 28th, whereas the other two are likely the be starting - unless Trez comes back into contention, but even then he will lack a bit of match fitness

    This. Whilst there is no argument that AEG and Traore have been great for us. Now we have Barkley back and those three available for this one but only two out of three for the Chelsea game two days later - it’s madness not to play Barkley isn’t it?

    Not sure if we were waiting for them to open up at the back or not, but I was getting very nervy. Gutted Ollie had another one chalked off, it will come and he will start putting them away. 22 points at Christmas - awesome!!

    Even before they were reduced to 10 men, they were sitting very deep and Ollie gets isolated really quickly. Did very well for the goal.
