    Tickets

Prices are shocking, £36 cheapest with the majority being £52
  2. On the train to Birmingham from Bristol. Hope it cools down a bit or conditioning could be an issue, for me and the players. Feeling apprehensive but generally positive about the game. Can’t wait for the atmosphere!
  3. Great result, professional performance in the first half of the tie. A draw would have been a decent result and still an advantage. They have it all to do now as chances are we’ll score at home. Just got to keep it tight and take chances
  4. Villa, villa, Villa!! Squad looks great. I think they’ll be well up for this. 2-0 Villa. Come on lads!
  5. Hopefully you can get to a computer at 5pm tomorrow! Create her a booking ID in advance. Either that or try calling them and pleading you didn’t know but I wouldn’t be confident they’ll go for it
  6. Recently or a while back? I think they started clamping down on this a few years ago. Especially for big games or against a rival. You can buy on behalf of somebody if you have their ID but every ticket bought needs an ID associated. Also, don’t quote me on this but I’ve never come across them checking the tickets are actually being used by the ID holder. So I don’t think there’s much risk using a friends ID to buy tickets if they aren’t going for example. You may as well generate the booking history on your own ID though. I’ve heard they can be more lenient over the phone in certain scenarios however I wouldn’t expect that given the likely demand for this game.
  7. One I think? One ticket per ID as far as I’m aware, similar to other home games right?
  8. Good to see Sarkic on the bench also after Friday
  9. No Bekir again. Would like to see him back available for the playoffs
  10. Get where you’re coming from, and understand why you don’t fancy paying beyond your season ticket, but it’s a business and not a charity. Staff and overheads to open up Villa Park an additional time beyond the standard season got to be covered. Would be a remarkable gesture and at the end of the day would be coming out of Tony’s back pocket, potentially reducing funds for other purposes, buying players etc. Don’t mind paying an additional £20-30 personally
  11. Yeah we get home advantage second leg for finishing aboveboard Middlesbrough. Means the game at VP is Tuesday eve though
  12. So not a position we are familiar with but I presume tickets won’t go on sale for this until at least next Monday following final games on Sunday? Interested to see how priority will work with the limited sales time available (8 days). Appreciate it’s a Tuesday evening but I’m guessing demand will be pretty high and it will sell out?
  13. Perhaps but I think us dominating them for 90mins also has that effect
  14. Doesn’t really mean a great deal but thank the Lord we scored purely as we completely deserve it. Great assist by Terry. Thought it was just pinball but he actually plays it off for Grabban
  15. Derby look pretty comfortable soaking up crosses. Would like to see us try and keep the ball on the floor a bit more and find space to shoot
  16. Don’t think anyone has mentioned as it thankfully didn’t define the game but in my view Jota should have been sent off for that challenge on Taylor. Completely unnecessary, he knew was never going to win the ball and it was dangerous.
  17. Looks like the team took a flight up there judging by social media. Not something I’ve seen Villa do often recently.
  18. The gap between us and Cardiff is the same as us and Fulham. I don’t think Fulham will be feeling so negative about 4 points so neither should we with the gap to Cardiff. Particularly as we’ve got to play them at home which could bring that down to 1point as well as other tough games against Wolves and Derby. It’s still ALL to play for, including that top spot!
  19. They are a different threat and this will be a different type of game to last week. As such, I don’t think Jedinak’s defensive capability is as essential. They will most likely press us in possession. We may benefit more from having a better player on the ball with a better range of passing in the middle there - Bekir or Tuanzebe for me in this one
  20. We’ve won the last 7, they’ve won the last 6 at home. Should be a very interesting contest.
  21. Thought he deserved a mention for another clean sheet today in a high pressure game. Did everything asked of him comfortably. Always made the right choices as far as I could see.
  22. Interested to see more of Grabban. He looks a pain for them, chasing everything
  23. Don’t think Hogan was an essential sub to be honest, we don’t really need him to defend
