  1. My god, we're really growing into the game.
  2. I did. He was likeable and his football was miles better, irrespective of Grealish.
  3. Supporting the team, and supporting a clueless chancer for a manager are two different things.
  4. I don't care anymore. We could win this 10-1 and SG still needs to go.
  5. Lucky break. Ings with the touch of a rapist there, would've never in a million years gotten t that ball.
  6. Do we actually know how to play anything else then these mindless longballs?
  7. Surely the writings on the wall? The owners aren't blind.
  8. Geez our forward line-up looks like it's never played together before today.
  9. Don't want to be negative, but what the **** are we doing?
  10. Important three points. We were calm and determined for most parts. Everton are shit though.
  11. Hopefully come next season we'll actually start to see some sort of improvement in results. Otherwise Gerrard can bugger off back to Liverpool or whatever. This is by no means any better than what Smith gave us.
  12. He's never in hurry this chap, yet play never stalls when he's on the ball. The mark of a genuine footballer.
  13. Best game of the season (so far!). It's no coincidence we're playing a lot better, now that Buendia isn't there spraying wayward passes all over the pitch.
  14. The players are what they are. Some are decent, some not good enough, and a few world class, but certainly good enough for midtable or better. If Gerrard doesn't change "the system" for next game, he's simply a moron, and has no business being a manager in the top flight.
  15. Yeah, I doubt Gerrard would've ever come here had we not had Nakamba in the squad.
  16. If this really is the case, what does it say about manager's ability?
  17. Haven't checked the stats, but thought most of his crosses hit the first defender.
  18. Perhaps it's merely that the players react positively to the change at first, but the effect wears off rapidly once the reality kicks in. Gerrard is probably way more demanding than Smith was, so the fallout will likely come a lot sooner.
  19. Why? Gerrard was brought in to produce results. End of.
  20. Right on the money. If midtable would be acceptable, surely we could've just persisted with Smith. If we don't finish the season on a high, perhaps we need to change manager again.
  21. Yeah, 'long contract' means great deal nowadays.
