  1. the number of players he has bought in is ridiculous. He could have bought in 7 or 8 less and got better quality IMO Of course, but we would've had a thread-bare squad. We needed the numbers. We also needed quality. None of the four full backs that he's bought are Premier League quality. Think it's a bit too early to be writing off Bacuna (although he's not really a full back) and Luna. Don't really know how you can say Lowton isn't Premier League quality. He's not great but he's definitely Premier League standard. don't forget his first job is to defend.....i wouldn't have him defending Rihanna's arse in a nightclub. Strange way of putting it…?? Hahahaha
  2. No they're quite clearly basing their opinions on what he has done in a Villa shirt. This. It's getting a bit much now, let the guy get on the pitch first for christ sake. If he does that bad you can all take him for a consolation Gregg's and never see him in a villa shirt again.
  3. Well i hope he proves us wrong! Could take a lot of pressure off Benteke as a big target man and hold up play….
  4. Bahhhhh hopefully grant holt just gets in the way so Benteke can charge through and score. As long as that happens i don't give a **** who we sign. Otherwise this will be a ridiculous and unjustified signing so i guess we'll see ey before i judge too much. With Ireland off the books i would definitely expect a couple more in. A signing at least. An attacking mid.
  5. Lerner's pocket mate. High security 24/7. We need the prick out quickly. Yeah, if only he'd put like 90m into the club... oh wait... he did I know but what's happening with that then? Neither the club or him talk to the fans?! Or at least i haven't heard anything!
  6. not that i wanted him. But if we were interested and he chose Huddersfield thats kinda depressing
  7. "We have tried certain things and some were out of our league!" And the ones we can get are LITERALLY out of our league Lerner's pocket mate. High security 24/7. We need the prick out quickly.
  8. What? Why on earth would he choose to invest in a football club then if he purely wanted money… surely the man would put his cash somewhere else instead of destroying our club. He deserves no respect. Certainly true, although if he does want out I would expect him to be trying to recoup as much money as possible. That would make sense. And he certainly seems to be doing that. I get it i really do but c'mon don't invest in sports unless you can cope with the loss - for the love of the sport. It's simple. The guy is now crushing dreams, history and the fans along with it. He knows thousands of people care about this club which is what pisses me off the most. P.S. Sorry about the little melodramatic break down there.

  10. Are you ITK?? Hardly, how vague can you get? We could be interested in Messi and theres OBVIOUSLY a chance it won't happen. Christ.
  11. Lambert doesn't have a sausage does he really?
  12. If our budget is genuinely 1.5 mil for this window someone need to assassinate Lerner…. i mean ermmmmm.
  13. Completely agree. Shouldn't have to compensate.
  14. Id rather play ME than cole for f*ck sake.
  15. I just imagine men in suits pacing the room as if they're too nervous to ring haha
  16. God i hope so. I have an imagination that gets carried away with itself at the best of times let alone when someone posts a potential new signing player thread. Cant help but see defour and tekkers together in perfect harmony. I can dream.
  17. Where does it say he's sec on choice to Hoolahan? I just read it and didn't see that anywhere. Do we mean it IMPLIED it? Bou…. m…..
  18. I'm sure that will be the case but I'm guessing lambert just wants an experienced cool head on the pitch for some leadership. I'd like to see him come in and possibly a young CAM to follower. Even if hoolahan doesn't play he can pass on his experience which definitely won't hurt!
  19. Yeah I'd agree. At the end of the day results are what counts and if we're sitting in 11th after the final game then you'd have to say that's a decent final result. But its not an overreaction to say we've been playing some of the worst football in the league for the last few months and its a worry where that could see us sliding to. I see both of these points I really do.....if we do slide into the relegation spots playing badly then that is unacceptable but to see people saying "90% want him sacked" or "Action needs to be taken" before this happens is wrong Everybody gets an equal voice on here which is correct, I guess, but in my opinion people who are asking for his head now have no experience of running or of managing anything, they are just impatient.....we averaged a position of 16.5 last season and this season we are averaging 11.8 - to me that seems like small progress and I do think that with better luck with injuries we could be doing slightly better than that I don't like to style we are playing (I'm guessing Lambert doesn't either) but maybe, just maybe it is a style that is required at the moment I don't expect much in January and will be surprised if we get anything from Arse and Plop but then, especially with two or three coming in I would hope for a consolidation and a 10th-12th place finish.........where we go from there is up to Lerner agree with you! At the start of the season people were saying they'd be happy with 10th. Mid table and downwards is full of mediocre teams who are all in the same boat as us. It's going to be tight and I doubt there will be much more than 6 points (2 wins just to emphasise my point) between tenth and 17th at the end of the season. Shows you just how competitive this season is. .
  20. That's absolutely not true is it. For example West ham spent more on one player than we did on half our squad yet San still has a job. 4 of the 9 teams below is would all be looking for new managers based on your logic. completely agree
  21. That'll be why he isn't dishing out the same treatment he gave chris smalling. Pahahaha. Still makes me laugh :') 1:12 in!
  22. It's a term of affection, don't worry. (Though I still have time for your sand paper) Haha I can see why you may think that (Although this isn't EWR) but no, I was replying to the first friend I ever made on VT and who I feel sadly I don't get to chat enough to recently; My Good man KJ 'Dolly' Parton. That's where the 'Do it for Dolly' above my avatar comes from (That may have been why you thought I was talking to myself). It was a short lived match thread game where he'd state something he wanted to see from the players in that game and we waited to see if they 'did it for Dolly or not'...ahhhh fun times. ^^ This is what Dolly will do if he sees this, he has a weird affliction that when he finds something funny, he weeps. Anyway, Benteke...remember happier times? This also fits in with another Dolly memory where I came to the rescue with some Benteke Gifs. That goal… :')
  23. Hmmm i agree, he does seem to be frustrated with himself. He's not exactly thrown his weight around like last season! I want him to be back to full strength so he can turn on bully mode. Also on top of that he's not getting that many chances to score so he's gotta take it each and every time and obviously that doesn't happen even for the best. Soon as that first goal come though it'll be a HUGE lift.
  24. completely agree with you. Let him get his composure. He needs to understand the crowd will be fully behind him when he's with them not against them. Deliver and be rewarded - otherwise keep your mouth shut and try 100%. Needs to sit out and get hungry to be on the pitch.
