Thanks for the clip. With no defender in a good position to intercept the ball, it would have been a sitter. A great scorer could have let it roll across his body a slot a left footer anywhere he wanted, But since the defender was there, and really should have gotten a touch, it was an amazingly quick reaction to get a touch at all, much less well enough to force a brilliant save. And since no-one argued in my earlier post, when I said I was rarely wrong, I assume this settles the discussion for all time.

Please all, understand, I'm not attacking Marc. He's been great since he returned from his loan. I don't think every cross can be consistently perfectly. I also note that the comments that it's not that bad are not denying the observation. He consistently overhits them. If he hit some too long and some too short, and some too close to the keeper, and some behind the runner, and some right on, he would be a great crosser. But he doesn't do that, he consistently makes the SAME error. That's something to work on and improve. That's all I'm trying to say.

It's very hard to perfectly hit a cross especially when he has only a second and a foot of room to hit it. I am under no impression it's easy. My job isn't either. But if I keep making the same mistake consistently, it should be addressed.

I like him on the wing. One complaint. Stop overhitting the cross. Far too often, his cross goes over the head every attacker on the far post. "Settle down, son, he's not 8 feet tall"

So do you reckon the job will be 'finished' at the end of next season and, if so, what will 'finished' look like? I expect us to be consistently in the top 10 and pushing towards the top 8 next season. We all expected that this season, and last season as well. Just my opinion, but I think Baker got the nod ahead of Clark because he wins more physical battles than Clark does. Clark reads the passing lanes and anticipates play better, but Nathan is your man with a physical forward, like Jones. Clark often get's bossed by the physical forward. Nathan's more physical play was the order of the day. (although I do think he took that task a little too literally for one that in honestly should probably have been a PK (again, IMO). If you think he was a liability yesterday, how many many fewer goals allowed would you have been happy with? (for the slow, and anyone who reads this in three weeks or more, we allowed zero) Even the chances they had, were not down to Nathan. He had an outstanding game. Frankly, I would have made him MOTM if he had not been lucky on the penalty shout.
