So one day his father is quoted saying that no one has made any approaches for him and that he’s staying at Villa. He also said that he would only want his son to move to one of the big leagues. Two days later he signs for Fenerbahce in Turkey. Only in football!

Because it's a player we've been linked with? Also because Wilder has actively spoken out about our ability to spend and other clubs stealing their targets.

I notice Sheff Utd are linked to Rhian Brewster and Chris Wilder has commented on it, stating that they're "not in the same position as other clubs" and that they could only get one player in up top. Does anyone else think he's getting his excuses in early for this season? Hopefully we stuff 'em on Monday to compound that fact.

One things for sure. Sheff Utd don’t look too great tonight. Can you imagine the uproar on here if we went into a season with McGoldrick, McBurnie and Sharp as our strikers?

May have dodged a bullet with the Ramsdale transfer by the way. Conceded with two goals from two shots and the second was a pretty straightforward save. I never quite got what the fuss was about with him last season
