    I'll be OK with a good performance and a narrow loss. A draw is great, a win brilliant but I just want signs that we are a good bet going into QPR and Reading.

    QPR haven't been great today at all - I don't think this will be a catalyst for anything. I think it's good to rattle Southampton's confidence.

    Vlaar and Dunne will return, combined with a couple of unspectacular but half decent signings in midfield offering a certain steely determination that spreads throughout the site. Benteke and Weimann chip in with important goals. We start holding onto draws. The team that beat Norwich 4-1 and Liverpool 3-1 will return and we will settle into being a deeply tedious mid-table tub of shit that narrowly avoids relegation in the final week.

    Beating a very up for it Norwich is better than a not really arsed Man City. Very impressed with the whole thing.

    Clark, Baker and Lowton really good. Westwood very nice again. Gabby had one of his better games. Lichaj is very limited. Stoke defended very well. Disappointed with Ireland when he came on. He never seems to step up.
