  1. Our interceptions in midfield are better these days. We're playing well today and have had the better chances. No way we keep a clean sheet though.
  2. At least we've shown we can penetrate them. Gabby should have buried that.
  3. Mark Hughes would be the dream ticket. That's a guaranteed relegation.
  4. Ha! I have a panic attack thinking about it. You need a strong stomach for this shit don't you?
  5. A frustrating day definitely although it was worse for Sunderland. They are absolute dogshit and if we can't finish above them we deserve to go down. I no longer have the swearwords for Chelsea. Literally, the worst club there has ever been or ever will be.
  6. Newcastle right back in it now. That north-east derby is going to be berserk.
  7. Norwich playing well at Wigan. Hope they keep that up.
  8. Second-half Sunderland had some huff and puff but no creativity. If they got something it would have been a ricochet, set piece, scramble. I was convinced De Gea had a big error in him today but they just didn't test him enough.
  9. United paying homage with a Villa second-half performance.
  10. The stand in full-back Buttner is a lovely player. I wonder if we could get him?
  11. Sunderland are horrible but Man United not putting them to the sword. Bardsley is worse than Hutton.

Sunderland currently shorter than Villa for relegation for the first time this season.
  13. Don't worry Sunderland – Martin O'Neill will have a plan B.
  14. Cuellar would have never put that through his own net. Possibly.
  15. Yeah, I feared a much worse United lineup. If Sunderland get something out of that lot they deserve it.
  16. United XI : De Gea, Rafael, Buttner, Smalling, Vidic, Carrick, Valencia, Anderson, Young, Kagawa, van Persie Looks decent to me.

I just saw the referee for the Sunderland vs Man United game. Kevin Friend.
  18. I think the quote "we won't forget that" is from the black-tie event immediately after City won the league. I believe Ferguson enjoys using these things to motivate his players (regardless of whether he personally believes any of it). He's promised to play a strong side today anyway.
  19. I think Man United have genuinely got a hard on for Sunderland this weekend. That makes no sense to me (like if the title was decided somewhere else there'd be a polite ripple of applause and "bad luck lads"?) but great.
  20. Didn't realise Pannu had 3 separate trials for intimidation, assault, bribery etc while an anti-triad officer in Hong Kong – acquitted on all 3. As far as I'm concerned he's a stand-up guy and should stay at St Andrews as long as possible.
  21. I think Man United will play a weakened side. Should still be enough but a draw would not be a shock.
  22. Alex Ferguson is very keen that Man United don't forget Sunderland fans cheering for City last May http://youtu.be/VT2DjV2jFMI

Yes, it's the 'opposition nil' part of my theory that is lacking.

I was fondly remembering Hutton's handball against West Brom that kept us up last season earlier. I've been hoping all season that at least one team will get a spanking from us to offset the Chelsea deficit. I think that game might be Fulham at home. As for the rest of the strugglers, that north-east derby will be huge. If Sunderland lose that I think it will crush their spirit totally.
