  1. For chest throws? Yah what?! I mean, lower to chest (as per bench press...) then throw upwards, releasing the weight, catching on way down... Not doing that without a smith. standard BP... yes. leave it alone unless the rugby boys are in and i aint queuing for shit
  2. Anything for a bit more explosive power? I've tried the throws on a Smith machine for chest/slight-arm, trying to 'explode' through each rep - ie hold it and then fire through, hold at finish and return slowly (so a 1/2 second:3 second pair for up/down for example) I've dropped about half a second off a forty metre sprint in the last 12 months but upper body explosiveness would be good for sport too... Cheers muchly for any advices.
  3. Work firewall! They relieved this site from blocked list (or someones changed the tags!)
  4. My sister is off to Seoul / Kuala Lumpur and Borneo (in the jungle with monkeys) for 6 weeks today. Jealous!
  5. Never had a problem with Easy Jet - everytime I've flown with them I've boarded my plane on time, and all bar one landed before schedule at my destination - the one that wasnt, we were waiting for de-icing in Zurich due to blizzard like conditions RyanAir - never flown but my mate swears by them - flew internal continental/united recently over in the states (Houston->Vegas + Vegas -> San Francisco) and THAT was an eye opener. Having just flown in on one of their beautiful 777's we were huddled onto some horrificly smelly, dirty little plane which rattled its way to its destination.
  6. I was thinking how the **** did Shaun Wright-Phillips get on the show? Oh well, its the usual shit, sweeps on how many times Alan Sugar says he left school at 16 and started his own business?
  7. A chimp is not a monkey. And a monkey is not a chimp. Whats your point?
  8. The line of the day was from the police officer at the press conference. "The monkey is still at large" Go on chimp!
  9. This is mainly the misses I annoy with this but if I dont want to watch some Xfactor or whatever vote show she wants, I sky plus what I want to watch as well as something I know she will hate (eg Air Crash Investigation) - that friendly 'clash' warning appears and as a result I get to watch what I want! Result!
  10. Is not what I'd call a humane or particularly 'nice' approach to take to others misfortune/distress. Why do travellers/gypsies/protesters being tazered make you cry with laughter? In the face...IN...THE...FACE!!!
  11. Bring Shane Williams in. He sent home thousands of Irish 2 weeks ago within 5 minutes of going to work on it.
  12. Love the banter with opposition players when marking them. Some take it so seriously - take a smack in the mouth for a red card
  13. If I can see someone flying up the outside lane I will usually match the speed of a truck I'm overtaking or some middle lane vehicle just to piss them off. Once had brilliant results, the tool also missed his turn off (or so the hand gestures suggested)
  14. Mike Phillips delivery too slow, France Blitz defence - no chance to get it to Jones, we'd have to be within 10 yards of the line and under the sticks for it to be a clean enough strike. Hindsight - going for a drop goal late on - bring on Lloyd Williams at scrum half to get the speed on the delivery to allow Jones the time to strike it.
  15. Gutted. Wouldnt say we bottled it as per earlier suggestions - but: * The referee was harsh (but correct to the letter of the law to send Sam off) - disappointed, but can see why he did it. Think he should have thought about it for more than a split second first as some of the decisions late on looked like he felt he'd been harsh. * That didnt lose us the game - 11 points of place kicks missed, 2 drop goals missed, an inability to make the right decision is what cost us. Fundamentally, the referee will provide those who dont really know the game a good outlet for frustration, but in reality our chances ended when Priestland was declared out, got worse when Adam Jones got injured and fundamentally ended when our experienced, 'reliable' fly-halves lost their composure on the kicks. Truly gutted as I feel we were much better than them across the park but its a professional game and if you dont take that many easy points in a test match against a nation like France you will lose. I hope we go on from here - the talent is there most certainly - Toby 'Jones' Falatau has been immense. Dont believe we bottled it though - we lost our real threat when Priestland was injured. He's turned Roberts into an unstoppable force. Good luck to France, although they'll get absolutely battered - cant see how our players will lift themselves for that ridiculous 3rd/4th. Chuffed with the levels shown by our boys though, we've bridged a gap with the SH - we now need to learn to kill teams off. Same old story?
  16. Its all over the various players & ex players twitter feeds this side of the bridge - great joke though
  17. I must say, the last time I was this nervous about a semi I'd just been watching Brokeback Mountain... Really cannot wait for tomorrow - time has dragged all week... the win against Ireland feels like it was an eternity ago now Really excited, really confident and really hopeful we'll be making that final. Certainly got the talent - hopefully its not one step too far, too soon, for our young team.
  18. I just hope we have Nigel Owens refereeing us in the final next week Or the 3rd/4th, whichever we're in
  19. Allain Roland. Not only have we just dumped the land of his mother, but hes half french, refereeing us in this - he already tried doing us once with Samoa in the groups letting them literally do as they pleased at the breakdown. Good choice IRB.
  20. Just tell her that you'll ruin her name now with everyone you can. Very difficult to shift a bad reputation for something like that.
  21. Quade Coopers quality, but he seems to be making wrong decisions at key times - not a good sign... he will be the better 10 on show in the semi final against the AB's 239th choice or whatever - take the shot... If you want to see Pocock v Warburton, turn up at Millennium Stadium in about 8 weeks time
  22. Well happy with the Welsh performance, showing this new found belief and the defence sound as ever. Thought Ireland were their own worst enemies - lost it in the first 15 minutes, why go for lineouts off penalties in our 22 in the opening few minutes?! Yes we'd just scored a try but three times had penalties in our 22 - only once came away with points - criminal at that stage of the game. But of course, very happy with a win - knew that if we were in front with 20 to go we'd win it as Ireland would be dead on their feet and it showed with Jon Davies' try. Sam Warburton too is absolutely immense. Other games: England - I thought theyd come good when it mattered but Wilkinson and Tuilagi aside, there was no fight, bullied up front and Ashton more bothered about arguing with the referee than doing his job. SA/Aus - I am so glad the Aussies did them over - just hope they do the same to NZ too And of course, NZ would always have beaten the Argies. Same final four as 1987, isnt it?
  23. we have won 1 6 nations in history due to a Welsh missed penalty and we are best Northern Hemisphere side. Ridiculous The missed penalty won Ireland the Grand Slam. Ireland had already secured the 6 Nations at that point :? Yeah IIRC Wales had to win by 15 points or something to secure the title that day? Forms about winning, in that respect England and Ireland are the form nations in these games... Hook is a great player to bring off our bench, we've got an awful lot of depth these days compared to years gone by, when you consider we've got British Lions from the most recent tour not even getting onto the bench now in Andy Powell and Lee Byrne - I am surprised by Byrne's omission though. Its going to be a cracking game, there are so many key battles - I do think the side to adjust to the refs breakdown interpretation first will win it though - just hope we're not talking about the referee after as a real reason why one of the sides are going home.
  24. Halfpenny's fine under the high ball - he's got a boot on him too. The issue I would have had is if Hook had been fullback - hes not natural there. Its going to be a hell of a close game, really looking forward to it though, just hope the referee doesnt spoil it.
