I was being a bit sarky asking who ACM was cheers for the De Arrascaeta info though, I agree, he’d be amazing.

Whilst we’re at it can we also get Rayan Cherki and Yusuf Dimer as well.

I think we’ll go big on a starting No10, get Alvarez as frontline cover too or when we need a bit of pace in the side. Wesley is another option off the bench or a false No9 option. We’d then have some front 3/4 options. KD39 out on loan to a decent championship side as well. Midfield’s our Achilles heel though, get that sorted and we’d be a proper side.

Would love all three too, doesn’t Milenkovic also take a fair few free kicks as well, similar to JWP?

To many we’re plucky Villa, no more, no less. Truth is they don’t see where we’ve been, where we are now and where we want to get to. They’re too busy dealing with their own clubs. We will surprise loads this season. It used to piss me off when we’d play Brentford as they always cut us to shreds and it was Dean Smith behind that team. He is now building his squad here, for his type of football and I think we will push very strongly for 4th-6th this season. I know that’s overly optimistic for a Villa fan and I should be all doom n gloom, but I’m f£&@ing excited for this season and can’t help myself UTV

When Jota was here they had a good understanding with some nice through balls I remember. Buendia is Jota on steroids so I think all of our forwards will be licking their lips at the thought of playing this season. I want him to do well, having done my knee ligaments in myself coming back from what happened to him takes some doing, so wish him every success.

We might get Kamada for around £25-30m possibly but not sure he plays that central to be honest. Cherki at Lyon looks good, only 17 though so one for the future perhaps. Lyon would want a tidy price for him as well I think.

I think the No10 we need would be in the £40-50m range and higher personally. £20m wouldn’t even get us Barkley and we’re after an upgrade.

I think the coaching staff are largely happy with our CM options but our issue has been that we don’t quite have that AM flair or that DM bite in the players we have currently at the club. We would move from a defensive shape to offensive shape with the same players, who don’t quite have the levels needed to execute both effectively. IMHO what we need is an out and out AM and an all action DM. Added to our midfield options that would allow us to play both defensive and offensive shapes far better than we did last year. An AM that had flair but was also a bit of terrier with pressing opposition would suit us when we’re being more aggressive. A DM that does what Nakamba does but also has the ball playing skills to allow us to build from the back, if we’re in a defensive shape. Just my two pennies worth.

Nor me but his stats look good and seem to fit with what we need, granted they’re only based on 21 games and 1069 mins played but still. Seems good at set pieces as well from his stats.
