  1. I have never been rich enough to have kids so I didn't have any. The concept of having kids and then begging to the state for handouts afterwards is not really my cup of tea tbh. Kids are a massive investment in time and money and lasts forever virtually, yet people fall over themselves to bring kids into the world, from a non parent point of view looking in it's a dirty pit of greed, envy, postcode desire, school runs and general misery. Why should people with no kids pay for idiots who have them and can't afford them ? If I buy a Ferrari on credit will the stay at home moms help me pay for that as it seems it is a little of my budget ? If I could sort it out I would make all prospective parents pay a bond of 10 K, returned with interest when the child reaches 16 as long as they have no serious criminal record and have achieved a certain degree of academic performance based on their ability. They can use this for university then thus solving that little problem. No other benefits to be paid at all for having a child, it's not that difficult a task........ (No 10k bond paid then it comes straight out of their wages/other benefits until paid) It would be interesting to see who really wants kids then as I suspect not as many as now, Not a very popular view granted but a view all the same.
  2. Made my weekend to be honest. The reaction in the little old kop was priceless when the 2nd went in. Torres does not even want to play for them any more. Rather them than us.
  3. I just watch it for the Titsandfanny to be honest. The bird from Anfield for example + our Cheryl.
  4. I have done Birmingham city centre to Sutton Coldfield (By Good Hope Hospital) a few times in various states, walked up the train track as I figured this was kind of straight (ish) and safer (I was 15 ish at these times). It can't be that dangerous at 4.00am.
  5. By design or do you have a dog or something ? (You could just get lost a lot I suppose)
  6. Some sales people were moaning as the lift was out of action the other day. We have 4 floors  Lazy clearings in the woods.
  7. Now I like films, in fact i love them and spend a lot of time collecting these, grading them on IMDB and reading /listening to reviews. Sometimes though I will watch a film for comedy value alone, the name of this film just jumped out at me and I had to get it. Titanic II Could it be better than the first ? What are the special effects like ? How does it end I wonder ? Iceberg this time ? The best worst film ever made, 0/10 of course but made me laugh more than say "Death at a funeral" for example. Some points to note :- The ship is never seen moving on the water apart from when it moves away from port (Animation). It seems the new Titanic can accelerate from 0 to 100 knots in 0.3 seconds apparently. The biggest ship in the world had a welcome meeting for all 25 of the passengers. The same 25 we see getting on at the start and waving to family and friends to the empty port. I could go on but I feel it was not a wasted hour and a half as it was hilarious. (Note: I heard the other day the original Titanic sank because the geezer on the steering wheel was not up to scratch on turning it and turned the wrong way first, that's why they hit it. Only recently released by the guy's family)
  8. I think I have read this book, is it about a stag weekend that goes wrong. Set in Brighton, water slowly fills the coffin and stuff. IIRC one of the stag party worked at an undertakers, hence the box ? Anyway, good book if it's the same one. Yeah thats the one, stag do prank they put him in a coffin but they get killed in a car crash Ha ha, yeah its proper good. They are all laughing as they are driving away and then ....bang. Really good writer he is, I have just finished one about organs. There is a high influx of Bontempi within the Brighton area. The insidious effects of Rhumba on a small town has previously been unreported ....hold on no, that's bolox. Organ's Donor's as in liver and lungs and all that, getting them from homeless people. Real good book if i could remember the name of the book and the Author I would be sorted. 8 out of 10 for that book as well.
  9. Watched "Shelter" last night, pretty good as it has a slight twist. Hard to put in a category really horror / suspense / Thriller type thing about split personalities. A good 6 or 7 out of 10.

  11. I'd imagine that's quite a common occurence given how long the plods usually take to get there - you take the 'law' into your own hands and given the fact no common sense is used nowadays you're the one getting arrested! I have never called the clearings in the woods but if you need them real quick why can't you just say "it looked like a gun / knife / ICBM but i am not sure as it's a bit dark". This pushes the responsibility onto them as the clearings in the woods know if it is for real and they were warned about the (possible)weapon it won't look good for the 2 plods turning up 2 hours later after a nice hand holding session in the car and a trip to BK when there are 12 dead people in a house ?
  12. Really looking forward to that one actually. The reviews have been very positive. Yep, looks good. read a bit about it yesterday, no rehearsals for it. Straight in the box for 11 hours a day or something like that.
  13. Watched Frozen at the weekend, 8 out of 10. Nice to not see an all action thing, just a normal low budget thing. Some of it is quite disturbing in a way but highly enjoyable. It's about 3 people stuck on a ski lift 100 ft up half way up a deserted ski resort. Does not really sound much of a problem but it's a real good watch as all the time you ask yourself "what would I do ?". Be interesting to see what you all think of it.
  14. Well it's my 4th anniversary on 06/10 but if I can have it sorted like the above after 26 years I will be a happy guy. It's a give and take thing, simple as that I suppose. Edit... (What would happen if she wanted to go down to small heath and take you for dinner at the weekend though :winkold: )
  15. Nah mate, not at all. I just read the whole thread again from start to finish and I am just disappointed in how people are just so media driven. Some people will believe anything they read or see on TV and be 100 % be sure it's true. No life experience at all which is a little better than the Daily Mail The sweeping generalisations are a bit off as well, but too expected unfortunately. Some people ask me why did I leave England to live abroad? Read this thread and it's all in black and white. The bitterness of the middle class and the overprotection of what they think they have is well, you decide.
  16. Ban alcohol in Middle England would be the obvious solution. They can´t have life exactly how they want it. 20 years in the future I can see most European countries and population getting a tiny bit of intelligence a legalise it, leaving England like it is. Drinking is far more damaging but people won´t be told or refuse to understand, it´s not that difficult really. As I said earlier in the thread, Holland is the top place to bring up children and there are coffee shops all over the place but having weed kept illegal in the UK obviously works so well, the town centres on a Friday and Saturday are a joy to behold. So many different people not drinking or fighting or stabbing each other, it must be wonderful to be in such a Utopia. If you want to keep it banned in the UK that is your choice but a choice not by yourself or experience but based on hatred of things you don´t know or understand. Don´t let the media or middle England inbreds make your minds up for you ....oooops too late, never mind.
  17. The Villa had been playing for a generation before the scouse decided to create Liverpool IIRC. Anyway, lets just give the geeza a chance. If he said we are a 3rd - 6th place team he would have got nailed as well with "What with this squad etc...." or "I wanted 2nd actually, what a clearing in the woods" Just a thought but treat the media the same way you would if a small heath come around your house selling a car battery, they write stuff to get peoples attention. They don't do it because they want to be good at their job, they are all scum and write lie and lie or bend the truth to suit. The Villa are detested by the media so what does it matter to them, ask a funnily worded question and get an answer. Got to VT, open can and relax and watch. All reporters support a team remember that for a start, if I was a footie reporter would I report on small heath in a balanced way or would i just tell the veiled truth that they are all scum ? We are supposed to use the media not the other way around. Now look at us, 666 pages to find out who, then we start loading automatic weapons because he states something that is a little off by a few %, maybe.
  18. Forget about it, slip of the tongue. What is our average finish since 82 anyway ? Is he that far off considering the relegation as well. I am past caring about words, I only care about points these days.
  19. lol has this villa insider guy got anything right so far? It could be the case he is actually inside a cupboard wearing a Villa top.
  20. The 1st one was not that good, we were unlucky it could have been a Wenger but it turned out to be Dr Deeaaath.
  21. No I really don't think you are thick....just unable to spell! 7 posts since 2007..sorry better things to do.. but sometimes I do feel that some Villa fans are never happy. I have stood/sat on the Holte since 1976 (we finished 4th that year by the way) and was in Rotterdam for the greatest football moment of my life. Be happy supporting Villa...enjoy the ride winning is not the be all and end all....otherwise we would go and support Man Utd...we cannot change our team win or lose..so just go with the flow.... Did not mean to be disrespectful to anyone but it is only football...think about the boys in Afghanistan or the kids in Acorns for a moment....THAT is real life. Ok mate, fair enough. I just did not like the general tone of your post and I will even apologise for calling you a small heath (You can write a sentence so you can't be). I think it was the Glory Hunting thing, as I stood watching the Billy Mcneil team I did not really think of Glory hunting tbh at the time. We are all on the same side after all (us Vs everyone else) so we must keep that in mind. With my ADHD and ADD I can think of 4756 things per hour so giving the Villa a small % of that is not a problem, that's what makes my posts so truly mental / thought provoking* / world changing * * Could be bolox
  22. I am quite happy about it to be honest. At least we all know now and can move on.
  23. Forgot about that snippet of information to be honest. Good call and Kudos to you both! Yep, gotta say fair play and that.
  24. 7 posts hmmm !! Insinuating I am a glory hunter (good one)! So I am a glory hunting Villa fan now ? So you want us not to win things then, what a surprise. VOIDs, You have time to post on local rival teams boards about other fans posts and you tell me about VOIDs, lol. Some people on VT post 100's or even 1000's of posts a week. Small Heath is that way >>>>>>>>>>
  25. Regarding the generals comments about us showing the new guy respect, I 100 % totally agree we need to get behind the manager and the team as much as possible but it goes both ways. We will see how much the board respect the guy by the money he is given and who and when we buy players. I understand it will take him time to get up and running into the football thing again but I won't have any more half hearted transfer windows any more or Hesky type buys on one hand and then telling us the desire is still there for 4th. The 2 don't go together and never will, don't try and have me over with tactics, selling players or transfers, if 40K supporters are having a pop there is a good reason and the facts are facts, in 30 years we (the fans)have hardly ever been wrong, if we had been wrong I would have a few more stamps in my passport to places like Barca or Madrid. I am old enough to understand football and especially the Villa, one could say possibly better than the board as I have put the time and money into it longer than they have left to live so they need to keep that in mind. For the board the 4 years with MON was a steep learning curve which I presume they have learned from. Not much comes out of the Villa currently that is any way positive and a few digs at the fans is expected I suppose but what they need to understand is erm....maybe a line from the film Mcvicar will help here : Prison Guard "You can cut that shit out Mcvicar, don't forget your in for 15 years" Mcvicar "Yeah, but your in for life though eh ?". Not that helpful I suppose but the point is the board need to understand they have had 4 years of frustration and problems to move us how far forward in terms of winning things? I, like 1000's of others have been putting up with this shit since 1983, a few tin pots along the way don't mean **** all in the big scheme of things. They have an out whenever they feel like it but we have a life sentence with the Villa, the quicker they understand this the better. It could be a culture thing as American sport and it's supporters don't really get it. In England it's different, it's a way of life. I must think about the Villa a 100 times a day, I doubt the Brokeback Mountain raiders baseball (rounders team) or whatever have anywhere near the connection to their team. (They can move city in the US for example) So what does it all mean, **** knows...not a lot as usual. I don't really plan my posts and it's not logical but from the heart not head, what I do know is we all need to apply to the Prison Guard union now I suppose.
