  1. Just an inkling Czechlad or do you know something?
  2. Or just a Tonev shit... get it! Ton-of-shit. Boom boom Yeah yeah i'm going.
  3. So I spotted this chap on my train this morning!! I was travelling from London to Manchester (Sparky obviously got off at Stoke), so he certainly wasn't involved in the wining and dining of Mr Traore in Stoke's finest eateries last night. I eventually plucked up the courage to ask him if he was on his way to meet up with a potential new signing (about the time he was getting off). At that point he genuinely looked at me as if I was the slime that had just crawled up from the sewer! Now, was that the actions of a manager upset that had just lost out on a player or is he just a grumpy ****er who took exception to a random bloke noseying into his business? You decide!
  4. I love the word 'gash', if i had to pick one word to describe supporting our club over the last 5 years, it'd definitely be 'gash'.
  5. Ashley Williams type experienced centre back and a marquee right winger please Tim!
  6. I think we'll see us playing a 4-4-2 quite a bit this season, with one of Ade/Rudy paired with Ayew/Gabby. I also think Tim will look to strengthen the right side of this line up next. Amavi and Sinclair on the left is a much stronger proposition than any of our right backs/wingers. Clearly why we were looking at Thauvin.
  7. There's a fresh interview with Sherwood on AVTV where he talks about all the new signings, at the end he gives a special mention to Westwood: "If anyone's going to get into his spot in midfield he's going to have to be a very good player" Think he'll play a big part this season, sitting between Gueye and Veretout.
  8. If I was a fan of any other club outside the top 6, i'd be very jealous of us right now.
  9. Fixed for you You didn't fix it, you broke it. His sentence was spot on first time around. Perhaps I was a little unfair, but in my opinion Bacuna isn't a good enough right back for where we want to be.
  10. We've scouted him properly, considered how well he'd fit in at the club and carefully thought out where he'll play within the team - making sure he'll complement and work well with the mix of players around him. Leicester have a new manager who hasn't had any time to access his squad or draw up a well considered list of transfer targets, so is basically hijacking deals for players who sound good. Know which club I'd rather join.
  11. Decent owner keeps his word and does right by a decent player who doesn't sulk or go on strike but acts in a thoroughly professional manner. I guess in the crazy mercenistic (is that a word?) world of football, this is what you'd call a 'rare thing'. Sign them both!!!
  12. I think the ambitious yet still realistic aim for departures by the end of the window is: 1. Steer on loan or Guzan permanently 2. Baker 3. Senderos 4. At least 2 fullbacks (I think the reason Crespo was brought in was to have him as the 3rd cover on either side) 5. See above 6. N'Zogbia 7. Kozak either permanently or on loan To make way for: 1. Keeper 2. Experienced centre back 3. Crespo 4. Veretout 5. Adebayor 6. Winger 7. Young striker
  13. Absolutely not!! We will hold an all night vigil during which we will debate every meaningless tweet written in French, whilst at the same time someone clever changes his wiki profile! Tis our way
  14. From what I'm reading from respectable Spain based jornos, Crespo is a no-nonsense solid defender. They are saying he is good in the air and blocking, not so good from a technical POV. Best as a CB but can cover at fullback. That's pretty much how I would describe Baker. Therefore I reckon Tim is thinking he can flog Baker, bring this guy in and we've made £1.5m back. Plus we get a bit more versitility and experience to boot.
  15. Still huge Richard or have we downsized? still huge
  16. Well this threads had it for at least 4 pages whilst we get everyone's old FM signings out in the open. Come on we might as well have a load of puns relating to Lizard people whilst we're at it.
  17. I love this new strategy of investing in true quality youth, Amavi signing plus the links to Oulere, Martial, Darder etc are the most exciting for many many years. But for us to be a success next season we could do with just a few older, more experienced heads in the side to help them. Personally i think this is why we've done so badly in recent years despite having players who are capable of more. I think a few from the likes of Williams, Cambiaso, Adebayor etc who are 30+ could add that extra steel/resolve we've been missing.
  18. I think both him and Darder could still sign. Sherwood said Gill would get much more pitch time, but he hasn't said anything about Grealish, who after his summer antics might not necessarily start the season in the team. Plus if we are going to play a system with two no.10 roles it would be sensible to have more than just the two in the starting line up.
  19. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7th Have yours ready!!!!
  20. If it isn't true then the BBC need to make a huge apology to Delph. I can understand the redtops going with this because they're scum, but not the beeb, fans see them report it and treat it as gospel. It's this kind of **** which sends the brainless moron section of our support into 'lynching' mode and they've got to take responsibility for it. If it is true though... LYNCH HIM!!!
