    I'm worried we need to move on players now before we can sign anyone. So Luiz to Roma needs to be done before we press ahead with Bissouma. Similarly Targett sold to Fulham before we pursue Bassey.

    You have to expect the CB who gets on the ball as much and makes as many passes as Diego to have more errors leading to shots than a CB who smashes the ball out of play and doesn't take responsibility to play the ball out of defence.

    When you have two right footed CBs one of them has to play on the left. A right footed CB will prefer to play on right side of defence as that's naturally where suits them best. It's great that Carlos can play either side of defence as it means he can replace Hause position in our squad and we have 1 LCB, 2RCB and Carlos who can play either. It makes absolutely no sense to sell our Club Captain as he has been the best CB at the club for years now. Costa + Mings is the best partnership we can field. I thik what Carlos brings now is open competition for places including Mings. I see McGinn becoming club captain.

    To show why you need at least 4 first team midfielders when you play a 3 man midfield. Here is the number of mins JJ, McGinn & Luiz have played in Prem this season and the total mins played by all other players who played in midfield. So we need a Bissouma with Kamara, JJ & McGinn even in a season where nobody gets a longer term injury JJ 2478 McGinn 3093 Luiz 2722 Other 1967

    Look at the level of the players we're bringing in. Coutinho, Digne, Kamara, Carlos. A cut above the players we have.

    He has played this season on left side of CB, but is right footed. So good to know he can play either side so can partner Konsa or Chambers no problem if needed.

    I think he'll have a brilliant partnership with Mings next season. He'll take on the responsibility for playing out from the back, while Mings focusses on what he's best at, defending.

    Fantastic. Gerrard has added two elite passers within a few days of the end of the season.

    I do find it amusing Gerrard has explicitly said we need more experienced senior players in the squad and then get annoyed when we're linked with experienced players.

    Injury has cost him. A full pre season and hopefully he gets fully fit. Sounds like he was ripping it up in training as Gerrard said and that's why he got into the team. Hopefully he can learn the 10 role and maybe add some width in games he plays Coutinho Buendia Bailey, that's a quality group to pick your 10s from

    Yeah we should also get rid of Gerrard. We need to keep firing and hiring people like Watford. That's what we should do.

    The difference is we don't win anything. For Villatalk the majority want young players who might go on to be sold and win things with other clubs. We don't want to have success at Aston Villa. It's all about the fantasy manager profit and loss of players.

    Absolute nonsense. Leader doesn't mean shouting and organising a team. Leaders are players who lead by example. Look at how his Atletico teammates celebrated last season after they won La Liga to see how much influence and leadership they though Suarez brought to them.
