  1. To be fair, that was a freak goal and he wouldn't be able to do it again. Still, we need to pick ourselves up here.
  2. He sounds as deluded as the rest of the fanbase. "If only Alan was in charge, he is our saviour". Yeah, right...
  3. Guzan: "****!" Commentator: "Not that happy with the punt..."
  4. It was his missus. They're out of milk.
  5. MON's on the phone, MON's on the phone!!!!!!
  6. Wow. The unhappy fans are winning this! Amazing...
  7. Top 7 will be good enough for me to be honest. This is a tough league, and consistently ending up in this bracket is HARD. Top 4 is just too hard. I doubt any team can do it at the moment. The big teams are more or less cemented up there and something needs to go seriously wrong for one of them for someone else to have a chance. I would love a cup as well, but hey, we don't seem like a good enough cup team to manage that, so no expectations from me there. I want to see more of the "never say die" attitude we showed earlier in the season. I love how we always came back and stung the opposition, no matter who they were. At the end of the day, this is football and anything can happen. I wish for consistency and fighting spirit. I love to see our lads battling hard.
  8. Yes currently we are. We'll see where we will end up in May, but again, getting us up to these levels consistently is an achievement MON should be proud of. Given time I'm certain he is able to give us even more success. As long as we accept some dips in form and even league positions. The important thing is that the players believe in the manager and wants to play for him he should stay. I completely lost faith in DOL when he lost the players confidence. I will feel the same if the players loose faith in MON.
  9. England have three teams in the CL semis. Three. And a fourth was eliminated by one of those three. That is the sort of quality the Premier League provides. Ahead of us are some of the best teams in the world. How can anyone expect us to break their stranglehold on the CL and the PL. It will take years of hard work as well as lots of patience.
  10. Your saying we should throw him out for having us finish 6th for two years running?
  11. So you don't think a multi-billionaire like Randy would have employed a decent manager? There wasn't another manager in the whole of world football who could have got us to 6th place in the league? But MON is the one who has taken us to where we are at the moment, and so he is the man that deserves the credit for that. Maybe we could have got some other manager and maybe Mr AN Other would have got us to the same place, fact is it's O'Neill that's actually done it. Why are some people so loathe to give him credit where it's due? I'm with you on this. I don't see the relevance in the argument that "someone else could have done it as well". So what? What the hell has that got to do with MON taking us where we are?
  12. Indeed. Many football fans seems obsessed with dressing up the unknown and the speculative in the prettiest clothes their imagination can find and present it as the truth. Sometimes you just have to stop and start appreciating what you have instead of constantly judge based on what could have been. It is a mind trap, nothing else. Naturally I feel a bit down about our dip in form, but for two seasons running we are right up there battling with you lot, occasionally putting pressure on the gang of four. That is immense progress in my book. Especially if we can keep doing it, because I firmly believe that one of these days MON will do for us what Moyes did for you. Give us a taste of what 4th (or even better) is like. If that never happens I certainly won't point any fingers at the manager and call him this or that, because I truly have no idea what things could have been like if a different manager had been at the helm. Sometimes you just have to accept reality for what it is and enjoy to the best of your ability. We are at the right end of the table, and I am certainly enjoying being a Villa fan.
  13. Yes. I won't loose faith over a blip in form. We're on track and fighting in the right end of the table.

    Confidence gauge

6th and I will be pleased with that. I thought we would struggle and end up as low as 9th when I predicted our position at the start of the season. Everton are looking very, very good and we have lost a bit of confidence I think. Still a good season no matter where we end up.
  15. I might have to eat my words, but I doubt Arshavin will have any major positive impact on their campaign this season. I'm just not convinced that he will cut it in the PL.
  16. The poll is completely irrelevant to the argument. It is quite easy to grasp really. A bit embarrassing having to point it out really...
  17. I loved his attitude and obviously the goals. He'll certainly is a bit of a hero to me. He could have done better with better support, but who wouldn't?
  18. I loved that answer: Reporter "Did you think about it long and hard before you Gave the armband to Barry?" MON: "Yes, I thought about it long and hard for about 2.5 seconds". MON also adopted the same stance as Wenger on the incident. Nothing happened.

    Running

Thanks, good to know. I might just go for the sensor pouch then. If I don't get a Nike+ for Christmas I'll buy one.

Yep im using it, you need the trainers that allow you to fit the gizmo into though. Very good bit of kit for £20 well worth it, if you like tracking your progress Is the sensor too big to just sneak under the inner sole (or whatever it is called in English ) of a non-Nike+ shoe? I saw you could buy some pouches to use on shoes that didn't have the little groove that fits the sensor.

Is anyone using the Nike+ iPod thing? I've been wanting one since I got my iPod but haven't gotten around to it.

    Running

5-6 times a week, but I's been almost a week now since my last run because of a slight cold. Looking to get out tomorrow evening again.
  23. Blimey. Not a fan of the song but that girl is gorgeous. Mate, you better believe it.
