Triston Rowe’s DOB is 31/12/2005, so he’d be a first year scholar for this season and he’s not on the OS u18s squad

I hadn’t heard of any of them before they popped up at Man City, look at them now
-
I originally thought that Triston Rowe would be a scholar for this upcoming season. Is Ben Broggio an u16 for this upcoming season? Thanks for your analysis and posts on the young players, you educate me! I think it is Archie Duerden

Most definitely, I don’t know where Pep finds these players like Zinchenko, Cancelo, Rodri to name but a few. Man City must have good scouts- sorry for going Off Topic mods
-
Rodri is 6ft 3, I’d say he is world class

There’s an interesting article on the official site about our new scholars for the upcoming season

Hopefully, we’ll be able to build a side around him not sell him. It looks like we’re looking at not just the present but also the long term future too
-
With good reason too
-
I wouldn’t want to put too much pressure on Kamara, he’s just made his debut for France, so he must have something about him. Don’t forget about Iroegbunam and Aaron Ramsey too

Leamington FC v Villa XI - 16th July 1pm
sir_gary_cahill replied to useless's topic in Pre-Season / Friendlies
I can see that comparison definitely, both of them were good in our youth team and u23s. Just because a player doesn’t make it at Villa, it doesn’t mean they won’t have a very good career in the game -
He’s an excellent player, he has great natural ability. If he wants to move on, so be it, he will have a great career in the game, I have no doubt.

I remember him fondly, he was good in our youth team, I was sad to see him move on -
I wouldn’t be surprised if that was it for us now, we have strengthened considerably. Any more signings now are a welcome bonus. Firstly, I think we need to move a few out of the door. I’ve been impressed by the way that Gerrard has gone about his business so far but saying that I know little about Kamara and Carlos but I am excited to see them play for us, I just don’t want to overhype them

I thought Dean Smith, Lange, and Purslow had it sussed. I was shocked to find Smith had been sacked but I now think that Gerrard is a bigger name in football and can therefore attract bigger names due to his playing exploits mainly

Sanson hasn’t had an opportunity, he obviously has talent but he hasn’t time on the pitch to show it. I wouldn’t write him off just yet but at the same time, don’t expect too much either

I see where you’re coming from to a degree but I believe it is important to be optimistic not just in football but in life generally. For me, as long as the players give 100% on the pitch, any quality that they provide is an added bonus. The club will always have my support, football is all I’ve ever known. I believe in the project at this football club, it will take some time to come to fruition but we as fans just need to be patient
-
I think you are correct
-
Because we have a bright up and coming manager who has been there and done it as a player and a young, vibrant squad of players, the best squad we’ve had for a decade or so. I am optimistic ahead of the new season, I hope others feel the same
-
I’d be gutted if he left, in my opinion, he’s a very talented young player with great potential. He’s someone I’ve seen develop over the past couple of years and Christian Purslow called him the best 16 year old in the country a couple of years ago. I think the club rate him highly too, even Jack Grealish didn’t make his debut at Villa until he was 18, Chukwuemeka was 17 I think. If the worst did happen and he wanted to leave, I think he will go on to have a great career, he has a lot of natural talent,

Didn’t we sign Sam Proctor from Peterborough who is also a keeper about a year ago? It looks like we’re stocking up
