  1. I know it's early days but he doesn't look a premier league striker to me but I'm willing to give him a bit more of a chance
  2. He's a very good player, I've always rated him, deserves a place in the starting 11 in my opinion
  3. good experienced player but we should've signed him when he left Manchester City, he'll be great for us in my opinion
  4. I'd take Berahino over two Austin's they're in different worlds in terms of talent - it's Sturridge Jr vs Lambert Jr. you really think there's that much of a gulf? what makes you say that? Austin got 18 premier league goals last season, Berahino got 14
  5. He's already our best player and he's not even close to his peak yet, it's scary how good he could become, fabulous young player
  6. Personally, I'd prefer Austin over Berahino, I think he's a more natural goalscorer and would be a better fit for our team, we desperately need a striker though no doubt about it
  7. I see where you're coming from WT but there is no middle ground with me, it's just the way I am in every walk of life, I don't know why that is, it's just the way I am, in my opinion Clark is a very good defender for a club like us, I struggle to articulate myself, again I don't know why that is. I see what you mean WT, I think you make some very good points, in my opinion Lescott was one of the best defenders in the league in his prime but he obviously isn't now but I'd still take him here, no doubt
  8. wasn't he their POTS last season? He won the league with Man City in 2011/12, I think he'd be great for us, he's played for England numerous times, I think he'd be great for us, we'd struggle to get a better centre back i think Out of interest. Where does ciaran clark rate against Lescott in your opinion? I think Lescott is a better player by quite some distance, what about you?
  9. wasn't he their POTS last season? He won the league with Man City in 2011/12, I think he'd be great for us, he's played for England numerous times, I think he'd be great for us, we'd struggle to get a better centre back i think
  10. I can't believe that article, no way were we going to pay him 100k per week, no chance
  11. According to what? Your favourite source Twitter. thanks
  12. u18s lost 1-0 to Reading at the weekend, there's a report on the OS
  13. what has he said exactly? Just that Austin and Afobe are likely to be 'too rich' for our tastes, but he can still see Adebayor coming in. He's been pretty good with his info thus far. Says a price agreed for Lescott and that will be in tomorrow's paper. thanks
  14. Yep. Though the acknowledgement that it was 3 games and too early to call was there too. Don't let that get in your way tho. Seriously what are we supposed to do? Not form an opinion? At what point can we start having an opinion. 5? 10? 15 games? So far they don't look very good. Simple as that. Are you incapable of having a positive opinion on anything?
  15. I don't think we can go through the whole season with our current striking options, they're Championship standard to be honest
  16. I'd take Afobe, he's a goalscorer, I very much doubt he'd cost the same as Austin
  17. Remy on season long loan would be good but just my wishful thinking. good shout, I'd take him but I doubt he'd come here
  18. didn't TS say that there would be no more incomings? He also said we wouldn't see Traore for some time!! haha he did indeed
  19. I think he's been very good indeed, probably our player of the season so far, great signing on a free
  20. I think that's our best side currently but I'd have Bacuna instead of Hutton and a new striker in also, bench looks very strong to me
  21. didn't TS say that there would be no more incomings?
