  1. That was the diving header goal weren't it? How did he celebrate it, I can't really remember.
  2. This surely has to be an over reaction mate? We finished 6th the other year, 6th again last season while being just 10 points off Champions League football. Yes, we've lost 1 game this season and that makes it worse than any point during the DOL era? Madness!
  3. The reason we move Milner to RB is to allow for more in attack. We still keep the 2 up top, we still keep the 4 in midfield, but then we also have an attacker at RB. Obviously he's not going to be as sound defensively, but when you;re 2-0 down it's not really as important. It's easy to say we shouldn't be in that position, but every team goes 2-0 down, it happens.
  4. The fans who booed that pile of shite off today are also 'decent' fans..... they also didn't deserve that crap.....shame you don't understand the difference..... Enjoy your happy-clapping for the rest of the season - by the way, we're the team in claret and blue.... But surely booing the team you support sort of contradicts the term 'supporter' no? I'm all for people being pissed off about today and rightfully so. But it was funny around me seeing some tossers stay around for the final whistle for the sole reason of booing them, just so they could feel happy inside and then leave.
  5. Your not serious are you? What would you have done Yes, what would you have done? And don't come out with the cowardly "I'm not paid to do this kind of thing" shite.
  6. I was at the game today. If they would have won 6-1 it would have been one of the harshest scorelines ever to happen. So I really am not sure what on earth you're on about. Stop with the whole "you should start going to matches" shite as well, many people are unable to. I wouldnt go as far as 1-6...but we could´ve lost 0-4 with an ease. We were lucky to get away with 0-2 today. I'm not sure about that. They hit the post. So the shot was not on target, how this is deemed as something that 'should have been a goal' really confuses me. Milner (I believe it was Milner?) cleared it off the line, that's what his job is in a corner situation, he did his job. I agree that the Friedel save should have been a goal, a goalkeeper shouldn't really have a chance to save a one on one. If you can claim these as great chances, what about Sidwells free header from 6 yards? The great save from Kirkland from Youngs free-kick? The great diving block from Youngs effort late on? We had a few damn good chances ourselves. It's just that because we've lost and played poorly, some will try and make it sound worse than it is. Not necessarily you, I'm just saying in general. I personally feel it was about fair. A touch of brilliance gave them the lead, we both were denied by a very good save and had great last ditch efforts to deny us. 2-0 was fair. Great stuff. Glad thats sorted then. Hopefully we will only lose 1-0 to fulham. Eh? I was talking about goal scoring opportunities for either team and you come out with that?

  9. Stay. I think if we got rid of him, we'd be considered a joke much alike Newcastle were for getting rid of Sir Bobby 5 years ago. We finished 6th the past 2 years, which is an outstanding acheivment. If we were to finish 9th or something this season, I'd have to ask questions.
  10. I think it's a bit 50/50 with him. He dives alot, but there's an awful amount of time he just gets smached or kicked to the ground and nothings given.
  11. I can't see how people can't see what we're doing this season! Part 1 of the plan - Make everyone think we're shit after an awful opening day game. Part 2 of the plan - Unleash a 37 game win streak. Simple really, we're already half way through the plan. The title is as good as ours.
  12. We''ll have to agree to disagree then mate. I am with you on the unattractiveness in the way we play at times. But in terms of signings and effevtiveness of the way we play.. I can't complain. This style of football and the transfers made has taken us from absoloute shit to consecutive top 6 places and a fairly decent raid on the top 4, so I can't complain about that. Surprised to see a few saying Ashley was one of our best today. I'm with the few who thought he was shite. Seemed to try and win the game on his own, just refused to pass! A few times he was taken down unfairly, but the point still remains.
  13. Yes, I agree team spirit is a big thing, but I also like to think we've won games through quality from our players too. I am disappointed about todays performance, but I'm not making you a scapegoat at all. I just think it's ridiculous that we have fans calling for MON out already. We'll be a Newcastle-like laughing stock if we got rid of him now! Thankfully the people that matter are happy to keep MON, or so it seems.
  14. Attack? Get a grip mate. So you feel the reason we are so succesful is because of a team spirit? Okay.
  15. Eh? This doesn't make sense at all. First of all you're saying that the showing of one game gives you enough info about how well we are going to do? You need to watch Villa more if you think this is as bad as it gets, we had worse performances last season FFS. You say his transfer, etc. are all shit.. so would you please enlighten me on how exactly we changed from a relegation battling side to a consistant top 6 side. I can't wait to hear your reasons. You make it sound like the likes of Ashley and Delph are terrible players. Yes, they had poor games today, but I'm sure Figueroa and Rodellega will have more than a few shite games. Also, why is it that you feel we should be beating Wigan if you feel their players are oh so much better than ours? Talk about biggest over-reaction ever! Who are 'all' of these people that have lost it at VP? Sad to see MON go? We aint idiots mate, you're the first to jump on MON over everything you can.
  16. Not sure what to think. We were poor, no question about that, but Wigan played well and the extra man in midfield halped them out. Young seemed to try and win the game on his own and surely frustrated his team mates. Beye was okay in the first half but looked so, so poor in the 2nd. The referee didn't have a clue at all, not just against us but in general. Kirkland should have been sent off for his foul on Heskey, just because advantage is played doesn't mean the card still shouldn't be shown! Not a good day out, to top it off I had some absoloute tossers behind me who seemed to enjoy slagging the team off, despite not knowing the names of half of them. Great.
  17. It is very good. Should be, weve been singing it for months Only heard it sung once, that was on a video posted on here!
  18. I think your signature is wrong, because although we haven't bought them, I think both Clark and Albrighton will play for us this season. You'll probably reply that "well, yeah obviously, seeing as we haven't bought enough quality we're going to have to rely on the youth" to which I'll respond I'm pretty sure you'd include Osbourne, Harewood and Salifou on your OUTS list if they were to be sold, yet imo Clark and Albrighton will play bigger parts this season than those three did last season, meaning I think you should include them in your INS list. 8) i'd counter with clark and albrighton were here last year AND its another MON choice not to play people then claim a small squad. :winkold: 8) Not sure I understand this. You make a swipe at MON saying he didn't play these kids but complained he had a small squad. Yet you said you won't be paying for a European game again because of what happened in Moscow last year.. when he played kids. Strange. Ahhhhh the one game he did play them to throw a cup becasue we had stoke on saturday! Ah, so you admit he did play thtme then and you insult their ability by saying it was a 'thrown' game. I see.

  20. Agree with both of you on DOL. As for Redknapp, while I don't think he's a bad manager, he' spent alot of money wherever he's been - he even managed to spend money at Saints when they had none! - it's not like he's ever really done much on a small budget, I bet he's spent over £50m at Spurs and he's only been there 6 months. I think if he was to be at a club where he had to sell to buy or work on a very tight budget - which will never happen as he has a tendancy to leave clubs when they're skint - I think he'd struggle.
