  1. Sorry mate, but your posts are completely ludicrous. i don't often get wound up on here, but you are talking nonsense.
  2. Therefore you rate the transfer as 0 out of 10? If Ronaldo left Man Utd (assuming he is now the best player in the world) and United replaced him with the second best player in the world (lets say Kaka for arguments sake) would you rate that transfer as 0 out of 10 just because Kaka isn't as good as ronaldo. There's more holes in your logic than a golf course. Well if he is worse than Ronaldo, than I can't see the strengthening...the transfers have made Man Utd worse off... So they have failed? If they can't keep a player, and replace him with the next best thing, the transfer is a failure? 0 out of 10?! In that scenario, that I have painted, how could they get even a 1 out of 10, in your eyes? And if you say "keep Ronaldo" I'll poke them out.

  4. I am happy with the buys, except we need an extra forward...The new players are good, but noen of the deserves above 7. 1. Shorey is not as good as Bouma --> 0 points given 2. Guzan is a sub --> 0 points 3. Friedel is old, may last as first choice for just one season, has shown rustiness already-> 2 point 4. Cuellar: is he better than Davies/Laursen or the man he replaced: Mellberg? No! Bench! --> 0 points 5. L. Young: good to have a RB --> 5 points 6. Sidwell gives us strength in depth, but is not a starter unless we use 3 CM and drop one of the three starters we have --> 0 points 7. Milner: Good to have a right winger --> 6 points 8. Davies, already was here last year, so not a reinforcement --> 0 points 9. No striker --> -1 8 players 12 points is 1,5 points average. I gave 1 point because I think the average was so low!!! Don't be mad! This is just my honest opinion. If I wasn't on a board where I'd get a yellow card for abuse, i'd call you a total idiot who's looking for attention, but I am so i won't say that. I will say, however, that if you really rate our window as a 1 out of 10 you are sorely deluded and I fail to see a scenario in which you would even be remotely happy. We have signed 8 quality players this window. i would say the worst player we've signed is Sidwell (albeit I still haven't seen much of Guzan) and if he is the worst then we have done bloody well. As I have mentioned elsewhere, at the start of the window an extra striker would have been bottom of the list of priorities. it would have been nice, but we have the same strikers that played the VAST majority of last season, and we were fine. I do however doubt that you really think it's a 1 out of 10, some might think you were looking for attention, but I can't say that.
  5. I gave an 8. Had we bought a quality striker I would have gone to 9. it would have taken something very special to get a 10 out of 10. if we finish in the top 4 I will gladly change my mark to 10.
  6. I thought Barry was good today, not brilliant, but good. And I thought he was excellent vs Man City. I didn't see the stoke game but assume he was poor as was the whole team. So imo in 2 out of 3 games he's been good at worst! Not bad if you ask me.
  7. I'm sure there are stats that show that NRC doesn't give the ball away as some like to make out. Yup, IIRC a better pass completed percentage than Barry last season, a guy who's in the england team because he passes well and doesn't give the ball away. yes but Barry may strive to do something creative with the ball and try and score a goal, going forwards. Not hit a 60 yard passes back to the keeper because he can't control the ball properly and panics when the ball comes to him and he's got a opposition player within 10 yards. NRC has to be dropped, then he can go and watch Barry Bannan and learn how to play football. Noted. But the point was giving the ball away, not being creative or anything else. But in response to your point, I don't think NRC is there to be creative. Whoever he is playing alongside can do that. he's there to win the ball from the opposition and break up there attacks which he does very very well, imo of course.

  9. Young, Barry, NRC, Milner for me. NRC is vital to our success. Forget MOTD highlights, the guy breaks up play so well and has a huge engine, we need him in the centre of the park, not stuck on the right wing.
  10. What's the difference between sand and menstrual blood? You can't gargle with sand...
  11. Cricket is shit. If you can stand around in a field all day, and throw a ball every 20 minutes and get a medal for it, then we may as well give them out on the street! If they only gave the medals to people who score a century or get, say, 3 wickets then I'd be happy. But if they gave it to the number 11 batsmen who didn't bat all tournament and stood on the boundary and made the odd catch then what's the point?
  12. synchro swimmming for me. Dancing, in water? It would be a lot easier if they just did it on the ground. Load of bollocks. They are thinking of introducing 20-20 for the next olympics. if that gets in, that will get my vote. Cricket is shit.
  13. Hi General, you've touched on this before but was just looking for an update. You mentioned previously that this year's 3rd kit will be last year's away kit but with the Acorn's logo instead of 32Red.com. Is this still the case? And if so any idea of when this kit will be released?
  14. You'll read what I tell you to read!!!
  15. Ash, read the rest of the thread before you post, yeh?
  16. anything from 8-12 for me. 14 can be sexy, and i wouldn't say no to someone for being a 14, btu if we're talking ideal then 8-12. I don't mind a bit of meat but not too much.
  17. Me personally, it would depend on the cause etc. £40 seems a bit steep but if there's charity involved people will often pay it.
  18. I voted for BFR, but it was a very selfish vote. I voted them purely because I wasn't born for the 82 success, so while it would be brilliant to listen to those guys speak about it etc, it's ntohing I could really relate to. However, BFR and Deano would talk about an era that I remember fondly. I only became a Villa fan around the time Ron took over so I personally would find it more interesting to listen to those two.
  19. I voted Curbs, as I think he'll be the first to get sacked, but i reckon Hughes could be the first to leave, but he'll resign.
  20. Haha, me neither. I was so confused, people saying the toon were better than us and that we couldn't afford Milner AND to keep Barry...very weird. When people started talking about DOL still being here the penny finally dropped. MIlner plus about 12 million these days and I'd think about it, but I don't think even Barry would ruin his career by going to the circus that is newcastle united.
  21. I want it to be over. If he is going to go, then I want him gone. But at the end of the day, when people stop kidding themselves saying "he isn't that good really", he IS one of our best players. If he stayed at the club and gave 100%, which I think he would because he is professional enough to do that, then I for one would be very happy. I don't believe we'll replace him this window, and a Villa team with Gareth Barry in it is a better team than without him.
  22. As good as Mellberg was, I think a solild natural Right back is better. That coupled with Friedel, plus either Bouma or Shorey at LB, swings it in this year's favour for me.
  23. A woman goes shopping one day. When she gets to the checkout there is a rather attractive yojng man working on the till. He begins to scan her items across the barcode scanner. BEEP 1 ready curry meal BEEP 1 small bottle of wine BEEP 1 ready made sandwich BEEP 1 naan bread BEEP 1 small loaf of Hovis BEEP 1 roll of toilet paper BEEP 1 toothbrush BEEP 1 bar of soap BEEP 1 small bottle of coke BEEP 1 knife BEEP 1 fork BEEP 1 spoon As the last item is scanned, the attractive male turns to the girl and says "Excuse me miss, are you single by any chance?" The girl giggles and answers "Yes, how could you tell?" The male smiles: "Because you are a **** ugly bitch"
  24. Now it doesn't even add up to 100%. 50% = yes and 49% = no! Where's the other 1%?
