I did the Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday. Came in at a spritely time of 1hr and 4 minutes. Not a great time but I have a dodgy knee which meant the last 4 k or so was spent running until my knee hurt too much then walking for a bit. Also, the Edinburgh course is pretty hilly. I found it amusing that the winner could have given me a 36 minute headstart and still beaten me.

I went to Edinburgh on the weekend and the iphone was an absolute godsend. Firstly, to entertain me on the way up, I downloaded series 1 of the sopranos (which I've never seen) and watched it on the train, interspersed with games of flight control which is the best game ever ever ever (105 is my record for anyone else with it). I'll have to try Rev's recommendation of drop 7. We got off the train and no-one had a fookin clue where we were going, so I simply searched for the hostel in Maps and within 10 seconds we had directions right to the door of the hostel. Then everytime we required a meal, someone would make a suggestion of what we wanted to eat (japanese, mexican etc) and urban spoon found us a restaurant with directions and a phone number within a couple of seconds. Then mor emusic andsopranos on the way home. All in all it was a perfect exhibition of the phoine and it didn't let me down (although I did drop it in a drunken stagger and broke one of the speakers )

Voted mostly bad... 2 for 17 is well below the Mendoza line... I find it odd that the only 2 you think are decent out of that are lily Allen and pink!!

I NEVER check the charts. I couldn't tell you what is number one ever! But from that list I would say some good and some bad, so I voted for that. 51 pages, so this might have "I say old bean, I think we've seen this somewhere before!", but I've had a quick scan and I can't see it. Parts of this are hilarious (highlight is the intercom on about 4 minutes)

Fair enough, it was just what I thought.

I'm not really bothered either way. The point I was trying to make was that the topics such as F1 are restricted to 1 topic by choice, if you get my meaning. As far as I'm aware the Mods haven't said, "there must be no more than 1 F1 topic", it just happens that way. The minute you start forcing threads like the boxing ones to be restricted to one topic you'd have to start doing it for others as well. Just my 2 cents, as I said, i don't read them very often so I'm not fussed.

There's no more boxing topics than there are "weekend football" threads or political events threads, so I see no reason to confine it one thread when things like that aren't.

I think its unfair to credit him with Hostel as he only put his name on it really. Not sure he had muhch to do with it at all. I hope not anyway as it's garbage. Pulp Fiction = one of the best films ever.

Hostel is **** shit. Up there with Saw (excluding the first one) for just being the lowest form of film making in my eyes. Althought the totty is good, admittedly.

agreed. Those 4 films (Dogs, Pulp, Kill Bill and J Brown) are all brilliant films. Since then he's gone down hill.

I've put was great but lost it. I don't necessarily think he's lost it though, just that his most recent films haven't been great. i think Inglorious Bastards looks good though so hopefully that will be back to his best.

I wouldn't drin k it over normal cola (pepsi and coke) but it's pretty nice. just Cola with a more fruity taste to it. Why call it Doctor pepper? Why call Pepsi Pepsi?

It is both, but as I said before it's not equal imo. Could MON have taken us to where we are without Randy? No. Could Randy have taken us to where we are without MON? Nope. For me the day to day running of the club, which has ultimately got us to where we are has been done by MON so he should take more of the credit, but certainly not all.

Elbow for me, but I must say neither are particularly amazing. Decent music, nothing more.

MON. Rnady has helped, but there are plenty of examples of the money being there and nothing changing. Randy's biggest credit is letting MOn get on with it, so MON has to take the credit for me.

Undoubtedly yes. The man has some faults. Some minor, some major, but on the whole he's still a quality manager. I look forward to to him being here for much longer than next season.
