  1. Bannan is totally wasted in our team. McLeish hasn't the foggiest idea what to do with players like him and N'Zogbia. If it was me, I'd be playing Bannan as the furthest forward in a midfield 3 with Petrov and Herd behind him. N'Zog roaming in wide areas with Gabby and Bent up front. N'Zog has to play with Bannan and vice-versa. These two are in a class of their own technique-wise and think too quickly for the rest of our lot.
  2. It's nothing to do with being a scapegoat and everything to do with being shite. He's a liability. He constantly get's pulled out of position, and he can't pass, dribble or tackle. He's dire. God knows why we let Luke Young leave just to replace him with someone so inept. The fact that the last game Herd played at RB (v Wolves) he was man of the match, only to have to give up his place in defence for Hutton tells you everything you need to know about our dipshit of a manager and his pig-headed idiocy, too.
  3. I didn't want to enjoy my Sunday evening anyway.
  4. Whoa, slow down neddy. Our manager said he was tremendous. :winkold:
  5. Ironic that McLeish described his contribution as 'tremendous' in his post match interview on ESPN. Therein lies the problem.
  6. And 3 wins out of 14 games, Richard. 3 wins. Against mediocre opposition Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe his win % is worse than Billy McNeills.
  7. And 3 wins out of 14 games, Richard. 3 wins.
  8. Only that idiot of a manager of ours could take a line up that exciting on paper, and make it seem so uncreative, lethargic and defensive on the pitch. I actually had a tweet from someone on F365 during the game.
  9. Heskey? In midfield? Again? Seriously? One of the few games over the next 6 weeks we stand a chance in and our idiot manager is doing his best to throw it away. The points we have on the board so far are in spite of him not because of him.
  10. I'd agree on most points and while it's good to not he has got the best out of Gabby, unfortunately, alot of other members of the squad have gone backwards. Bent and particularly Albrighton are shadows of the players they were. Bannan obviously has talent to burn but needs reigning in and games. Delph made a decent start to the season but has gone backwards, the defence look like they've never played with each other, Hutton has been nothing but a liability since he came here and N'Zogbia must be kicking himself for not joining Newcastle. McLeish hasn't got a clue how to use a player like him. Where the hell has the Fonz disappeared off to as well? Can't get near the team, and Gary Gardner will go the same way. What the **** our midfielders on the bench must think when they see 'Der Kaiser' Heskey line up to start a game in the middle of the park is beyond me. Petrov I just feel sorry for. He's willing, but not so able any more and we should be looking to replace him or have younger fitter players doing the donkey work, not lining him up with an actual donkey in Heskey and two right backs, one of who is a reject from a team who used to be our rivals and is shit, and the other a youngster. Great, I'm wound up now.
  11. Given Herd Dunne Cuellar Warnock Gardner Bannan Clarke Albrighton Gabby Bent Go on Randy, give me the job. I doubt I'd be much worse. **** me, anyone can take 11 decent players, play half of them out of position and turn the rest of them into clueless headless chickens who don't appear to give a shit.
  12. Putting on record your secret apocalypse survival plan for all and sundry to see.
  13. McLeish has had his nuts pulled out of the fire by Gabby and Bent. Defence - shite. Hutton, Collins and Dunne have shown nothing to suggest they are worthy of the shirt. Midfield - passable, let's not forget it was **** Norwich, not Man Utd. Herd was very good, Petrov was OK and Heskey didn't do much wrong but he didn't pull up any trees. Can't see why we're persisting with him. Will he be playing in defence next? Attack - Gabby and Bent were irresistable today.
  14. And it doesn't have a population of about 9 million people, either.
  15. Are you Alan Hansen? Look at Fergie's signings - Jones and De Gea - his bringing through of the de Silva brothers, Cleverly, Wellbeck, Hernandes, Smalling the year before. A fair spattering of youth there? Jones and De Gea were hardly big risks though. Jones was tearing it up for Blackburn and De Gea was rated as one of the best keeping prosects in Europe and had 60-odd first team appearances for Athletico Madrid! Hernandes and Smalling were already good players. One was a Mexican international scoring shit loads of goals, the other was an England U21 international, Ferguson didn't 'bring them through'. Cleverly and Wellbeck spent years out on loan at premier league clubs. This Ferguson developing players is a myth. No-one gets near the first team until they're ready. They pretty much always have to prove themselves somewhere else. The Da Silva brothers are the only ones you've posted who haven't been sent out on loan or bought in with experience, and to be fair, they can't get near the first team. Between them, they've got 1 first team appearance so far this season. You are so ignorant it hurts! That is how you "bring them through" though, in modern football. The difference between Fergie and Wenger is that the latter has not won anything since 2005/2006 - and we all know how Fergie did in the meantime! Also, Rafael da Silva is a sure thing in the first-XI when he is fit. "They pretty much has to prove themselves somewhere else" you say? Well, do you think playing a few matches for Wigan counts as doing that? What about this season when Welbeck played the first three league games ahead of Berbatov to check on him? Fergie developing players is a myth? If you say breeding in 12 year olds in to the squad you are correct, but when has that ever worked? Wenger has failed doing it, miserably, as any fan of Arsenal would be so kind to agree with. They were the best team, they played the best football (which nowadays is a myth!), they had the most exciting players and then Wenger changed his politics. Not a trophy since and not even close to winning the league once. The only team able to do it is Barcelona, and we all know they spend millions on it each year at La Masia. You can insult me all you want but you're missing the point. People are saying Bannan has to play in our first XI to develop. What I'm saying is that Ferguson doesn't do that. He ships them out to other teams and if they make the grade then he brings them back. If not he ships them out permanently. For every Danny Wellbeck, there's about 50 Jonathan Greenings and Ronny Wallworks.

  17. Herd is fit. He was man of the match last time he played v Wolves which coincidentally was the last time we kept a clean sheet. I was warned by a Blues fan that McLeish had his favorites, and Hutton must be one of them because he's been dire every time he's played. N'Zogbia should have been hauled off too instead of Bannan. Ireland should have been allowed to play as part of the front 3 with Bannan and Gabby. Given - 8 Made at least 1 world class save Warnock - 7 Decent game Dunne - 7 Solid Collins - 6 Clogger Hutton - 3 Dire N'Zog - 5 It's just not working Petrov - 8 Worked tirelessly, knocked it around well. MOM for me. Delph - 5 Gives the ball away too much. Ireland - 7 Utterly wasted playing deep. Bannan - 7 Deserves to keep his place. Superb penalty. Gabby - 7 Led the line reasonably well, but was isolated. Summary - A dodgy ref helped us paper over the cracks.
  18. If he has a modicum of talent, McLeish will soon grind it out of him.
  19. Agree 100%. Today, the whole experience was awful. Crap atmosphere, crap attendance, crap performance, crap game. One of the worst matchday experiences I've ever had.
  20. I was going to take the time to construct a response, but realistically you are in denial. Look at who we played, lower mid table teams at best. If you remember, that wolves team got a 0-0 at our place. Get your head out your arse FFS. Unbeaten crap! What a tosser you are mate, Newcastle are 4th in the prem you idiot and are not a bad side, we have not lost yet and are 7th, WTF do you expect, we have lost our best players and have an average prem side...numpty. DO you still think Newcastle will be 4th come the end of the season?
  21. I hope the board aren't expecting people to keep turning up and watching that turgid shite. It's soul destroying to watch players who you know have ability get it coached out of them. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF
