  1. Sunday works better for me, I'm best man at a wedding Friday/Saturday so zero chance to attend then. It looks like it will be Friday, so I'll set an autopick.
  2. With training camps on the horizon, I thought I'd give this a bump. Who's in and what date are we setting for the draft... Sunday 4th September?
  3. Do we just login to confirm our participation? That's what I've done, but all of the same teams from last season are already there too so just want to check there is no magic button to press?
  4. Exactly. I would consider moving Mings on and I think we are ambitious enough to seek improvements up front. Ollie wouldn't enter that conversation for me, far too versatile, so it would be Ings I would seek to upgrade. None of it essential and all a nice problem to have, but we are well covered elsewhere and these investments, at that time, would seem logical to me.
  5. We'll see. Maybe not now, but in the summer.
  6. Jack = £100m less Net (£17m) Decent haul Hopefully still some left over for a couple of key signings now and in the summer; DM / CB / ST / Coutinho fee
  7. I don't know the details other than the posts earlier in the thread, so do you say this because BM doesn't want to play, or because sadly he won't be well enough? Wondering if we can make a gesture in memoriam if the latter i.e. rename the trophy? Edit: not meaning to come across as insensitive by the way, it's just an idea how we might recognise someone that's been a part of the fabric for decades.
  8. It's not the #1 pick that bothers me as such, it's waiting to 24 and 25 before making the next selection. It's a hard strategy to get right cause most of the top WRs are gone by then and you're left with a top RB, a serviceable WR and possibly a good TE or premature dip into the QB market. It might just be me mind you, I average 7th for a reason
  9. Thanks for clarifying @Beastmix My personal view is that the #1 pick isn't a reward in fantasy football so the incentive would be low. Just my opinion.
  10. 1: Longer draft pick time - at least 45 seconds, 1 minute could get tedious if people are dragging it out. But it's about being able to select the best players for your teams so whatever makes it fair.2: Reverse draft order (NFL style - last place picks first) - should consolation playoff winner earn #1 pick? - Did I win the consolation playoffs? If I did, I don't want the #1 pick. I personally think the order should be reverse finishing position so worst goes first and best goes last. I'll be quite happy sat there in the middle thank you 3: One-day trade processing - Yep4: No waiver window. Just first come/first served on the free agents. - can waiver windows be set to a better time than current (I don't know what the current time is btw). It does bother me that you only find out on the Wednesday before that you have a player so I would suggest any player dropped during a live weekend can't be claimed but otherwise, they are readily available.5: Change playoffs from top 6 to top 8 - I'm up for expanding it. If it's close, then it keeps the league relevant right to the end
  11. Congratulations @Beastmix for winning the championship!
  12. Agreed on 12 teams. The scoring feels like it's worked better although it would be good to understand if there is any reason why some teams were able to consistently score more points than others. I thought PPR would make it more predictable / closer but I've found it inconsistent at times. Perhaps it's game milestones or TD production separating players; of course it could just be poor player selection. As the draft is unpredictable, there is probably no way to achieve it, but it would be good if the average points scored per team was a lot closer. As an example, this seasons average points per week is a high of 159 and the low 105. That gap feels too wide in my opinion.
  13. Are we basing the draft order on the playoffs rather than league positions? Us lowly folk have been battling it out for finishing positions too and so I'd suggest using that. And then any newbies go first.
  14. https://twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1470649243354472449 Here's the link for anyone that wants to read it. It also points out how much our owners have contributed. However, it all lacks a lot of circumstance and detail, which would truly help a reader to understand what has gone on and what is going on now.
  15. Sorry to hear that dude. I hope that whatever it is, there is a chance. Keep fighting.
  16. FFS! The one week that Aaron Rodgers decides to play lights out and I've benched him. I quit for this season.
  17. Was thinking of writing something on here. Don't think it can be put any better than that though. Thank you Dean
  18. I think how we used to score was to having the starting points higher and then they got whittled down through negative plays like being scored on. Not suggesting we change it for this pr any season, but perhaps it would be a way to give +10 points as an example. I could be completely wrong mind you.
  19. Nice idea, but not for me cheers. Not that I'd win it any way.
  20. Anyone swapping out of Baltimore? RB room depleted and now Peters out.
  21. Shame that mate, explains the confusion though.
  22. Whilst I'd like this to be true, I think you'll find I fell at the last hurdle, so consider my enthusiasm based on that pain that's haunted me ever since...
