  1. Fried - 7 Young - 8 Cuellar - 7 Dunne - 9 Warnock - 7 Milner - 7 REo - 7 Petrov - 5 Downing - 3 Carew - 5 Gab - 7 Gutted. Why coker was brought off when he was doing fine, and Petrov and Downing were doing nothing except hiding I'l never know. Need a striker. If MONs going to tell the 'big man' in the side to drop in and make a 5 as he seems to be doing with Heskey and Carew, we need one in the robbie keane mould.
  2. 451 my lord, 451! Gab on his own, back uo what won us 10 games or whatever in a row last year. Be interesting to see the team, I think 442 will certainly not be enough though. If he does go 442, we need Carew in "unstoppable" mode and not "can't be arsed" mode.
  3. 3rd over League cup League cup over 4th. 4th and we have a qualifier which we won't be seeded for, and will probably get someone like Fiorentina
  4. Id go Fried Young Cuellar Dunne Warnock Albrighton Milner Petrov Delph Downing Agbag
  5. Gab was as good as he could have been with what he got. Held it up ten times better than our 'hold up' striker Heskey who made one good defensive header and did nothing else. If he plays like that, we may as well have Carew there, as he'll do nothing either but could nick a goal. Surely today MON can see we need a striker. Imagine if Gab got injured
  6. Wrong. In the first-half Downing and Milner combined for a beautiful piece of play, Downing slipped in the advancing Milner after drawing the full-back out and Milner set up Agbonlahor for the shot, only for Gabby to take too long to sort out his feet, but even then the ball made its way to Ash, whose deflected shot curled out for a corner. That begs the question then. Why the **** didn't we play more of the same? Instead of our predictable LONG BALL SHITE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Also, midfield got overrun in the second-half when the opposition team sent on attacking midfielder in the second-half. Hmmm. Stephen Ireland in the Man City game. Jermaine Jenas in the Spurs game. Now Cesc Fabregas today. What does MON do each time? Do nothing to shore up a midfield where our "Captain" is visibly spent. Hooray for MON! Don't say that too loud or you'll be accused of wanting him sacked! Poor today, especially in midfield. Same as Stoke, centre mids scared of playing with the ball. Cuellar, Dunne and Gabby only players worthy of praise today. Even if we are playing in a 442, Gab is constantly the only player with half a chance of getting near the ball due to him being the only one willing to bomb around and get through some work, and the fact often the ball is no where near our forwards from our forward 'passes' and his pace gets him there. Absorbed a lot of pressure and didn't quite manage to capitalise on the odd chance we had. Scared is just the word I think of. Scared to pass it. Scared to receive it. Scared to take on your man. We're 4th because we're a good side lads, start dictating parts of games, start demanding the ball and playing passes you would in training. Re: 2nd goal, shocking from Milner. He knows it, MON knows it, we all know it. He doesn't really need to be told. But why oh why was he on the pitch? I know MON has this stupid thing he does of taking off a full back and putting a player out of position into the full back role, but I still, 4 years klater have never once seen it have any benefit. Is Milner a better RB than Young? No. Was Young having a shocker? No. Was Milner having a great game (in which case why would you shift him to full back anyway) ? No. One day, maybe if I ever get to be a manager I'll understand it. Onwards to Liverpool, with them likely to be nervous after scraping past wolves. Can certainly beat them there. Fried - 7 Young - 7 Dunne - 8 Cuelllar - 8 Warnock - 5 Downing - 5 Milner - 4 Petrov - 5 Young - 4 Heskey - 5 Gab - 7 Carew - 5 Delph - 5
  7. The picture bicks paints to turn his kids away from believing in Father Christmas
  8. We fell into the trap of playing their style of football. The midfield got a bit intimidated I think and it led to them having a touch less than they normally would in the middle. Poor overall aside from the never-say-die defending which is brilliant to watch, and worth just as much as a goal. Friedel - 7 Young - 8 Cuellar - 9 Cookie Monster - 8 Warnock - 5 - worst game for us IMO. One great block but struggled a lot in possession, kept giving it away and going backwards when we needed to be pushing on. Downing - 7 - good first half, quiet second before and after that great switch to Young for the goal Milner - 7 Petrov - 6 - Wasn't demanding the ball anywhere near as much as he needs to be if he is to be our anchor in behind the other 3 swapping all over the place. Young - 7 Agbag - 8 Heskey - 6 Carew - 6.5 Sidders - 6
  9. Neither can I! Think this will probably be the strongest partnership.
  10. This where we normally fall over. Just when we are right there about to take the position we deserve. We snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Big performances, big men, willing to take responsibility are needed. First time I'll have been to a game since Blackburn away. We've been flying since. Need an early goal IMO or their set pieces will be like huge lumbering pains in our side all game. Still too nervous to call really, I'd go for a 2-1 Villa if pushed.

Jesus H. Christ on a motorbike!! What an ending to what I thought was a slightly weak final episode of the best series yet! My god!!!!
  13. mnu 70% possession. Need to keep going forward and looking after the ball or pressure will take its course and we could be on the end of a nasty scrappy few goals

Oh my god. This now is the best series ever. Just about jumped ahead of series 1.
  15. Very impressive defensive performance though. Cuellar and Young excellent. Petrov tidy in periods, Milner stood out for the sheer running he did. Sidwell did nothing except that potshot, very frustrating with Delph, Downing and Gardner all on the bench.
  16. Cluelessness from the bench in the second half. We were lucky they didn't score earlier because they'd then have had more time to have a go at us for a winner rather than an equaliser.

agreed, outstanding stuff. Lithgow is just brilliant.

John Lithgow is bloody brilliant! "Hi Dad" OH MY GOD!! This is miles better than series 3. 1 was brilliant, 2 took a while to get going but was still very good, couldn't get into series 3 at all, Prado was a bit of a crap baddy.
  19. this really made me laugh and I have no idea why
  20. Ronaldo is the best player ever IMO. No one has ever reached the high he was at. Raul was the talisman of a brilliant team, but not a brilliant player.
  21. Scored from a set piece and were forced to defend a lot of the game. Tad dissapointing as we were at home that we didn't really look to attack them that much, but I would have taken a draw before KO. Defence looked ok, not waterproof at all though. Petrov was shattered after 65 mins, how the hell can O'Neill not see this?! Very annoying. He was lagging in midfield and that's why we conceded IMO, there was a chance before Ireland played the pass he could have got back at his man. Barry is miles better than anything we have in central midfield.
