Architects of our own downfall whilst playing pretty well. Reminded me of the Liverpool game in that they took (all?) their chances and we didn't.
I'm not usually a fan of Watkins but he was very good today. Conversely Bailey's touch was pretty awful and he just seems too weak to win out when challenged.
Playing out from the back with these players is risky but hopefully we won't drop four defensive bollocks in one game very often.
Well, they pressed him mate. They did that. They made him panic and concede possession and they fought hard in the tackle to win it off him when he conceded it for the goal. If we did that to them, you’d say “ great villa pressure “ Yes of course he could of handled it better but to say Leicester did nothing for that goal is somewhat inaccurate.
Great perspective. It is strange, but I feel it, too. There were some real bright spots, it's obvious. I do get the disappointment of a loss, but some of the post-match fury honestly caught me a little off-guard in its savagery. I'm the first to whinge about missed shots, but seeing Ollie experiencing a moment of swagger and just the look on his face after scoring was cool. He gets a lot of stick, but he was showing some confidence, and I like it. More, please.
played some good attacking stuff but tacking was shite
but what was totally inexcusable to me, and it's a basic rule in pretty much any sport that involves a thing filled up with air that's either kicked or thrown, that if the team doesn't have the thing, then their chances of scoring are greatly reduced. so with that in mind, why the **** did we keep giving it to them?? especially with less than 10 mins to play and we were winning? i didn't get it at all.
