  1. In the case of coutinho though he definitely played his best football in his younger days.
  2. Messi and Ronaldo was better in their mid 20s I would say. Lewa and De Bruyne I agree. Coutinho struggled with Injuries though which plays a part.
  3. I don't think he is the same player who left Liverpool in 2017 let's just leave it at that. Would be delighted to be proved wrong.
  4. Attacking players tend to peak in their early to mid twenties. Salah is more of the exception and not the rule.
  5. I don't think he will tear anything up but we'll see and hope for the best.
  6. I agree. This strategy seem a lot more risky. Little resell value, high wages etc. Hunting the best young Championship players certainly felt like a more safe and secure transfer strategy. And also a lot more sensible considering it's only our 3rd season since promotion. I cannot help but feel concerned. Only thing that can reduce that feeling is seeing results, and results has been awful recently.
  7. The question is what is the best Coutinho can produce at the age of 29. I think it's very unlikely we'll see anywhere close to his 2017 levels. I think injuries has hindered him a lot. Hope I'm wrong but I won't expect too much from him. If he is an improvement on one of our number 10's then great.
  8. Can't be a better person than Gerrard to sort him out then
  9. I just see people calling him not good enough. I don't think that is offensive at all. I'd be happy for him to be a backup player if he wants to stay.
  10. Without fans. Season before last he was poor. This season he has been poor. This suggest mentally he is quite frail. I reckon he is much better in training.
  11. I think the Everton project is dusted. They gave it a good go. Spent a shit ton of money but it didn't work for them. I think they are in the latter stages of Lerner now. And it's sad to see, because it's a great club.
  12. You can't depend on getting penalties. And the teams who get many tend to be the top teams because they spend most of their time playing in the opposition half. For what Anwar offers you overall you just can't justify playing him at this level.
  13. Chris Wood can be a real handful on his day. For where they are I think it's a decent signing.
  14. How many of those goals was from pens?
  15. Coutinho got a better English vocabulary than Grealish.
  16. Just no way. Respect your opinion but I highly disagree.
  17. Seem a lot more level headed than a certain chap born in Solihull.
  18. He was a backup at Southampton for Bertrand. About time he got replaced. Lovely fella but he just isn't strong enough either mentally or physically.
  19. Owners really throwing everything at this Stevie G project. And this is only January. If this fails we could be in trouble. Exciting but at the same time I'm a little worried.
  20. Think I would accept 1M lol. Anwar is a great guy but I put him in the same bracket as Hourihane. Just isn't Prem level.
  21. If it's only a loan I don't see the point with the goodbye comments. No way will they decide to buy him when they actually watch him play.
  22. It's never a great sign when you see that. I always took the Lyon comments very seriously.
  23. That's my job. We need to have a balance in here Don't get me wrong. Excited to see him play but some of the comments on Twitter are way OTT. Hyping him up to heights it's impossible for him to reach. He isn't the player who left Liverpool in 2017. Nowhere close. If we can get 50 % of that player I'd be happy.
