Everyone going on about he has lost the away fans! He first lost them against Crystal Palace in April and been sung at 90% of away games since.

Been thinking earlier about why we never seem go after big named up and coming players now and usually boils down to wages!! Right if someone like Shakiri is available he will be on around 70/80k a week!! which after a transfer fee is nothing for a player of his ability and say we give him a 4 year contract!! i doubt after a year he will throw a hissy fit asking for more wages (when he is on a decent wedge) Now take this young, cheap crap that we been doing!! The likes of Lowton and others seemed to have got rises every year from their initial 10k a week, Benteke was signed on 4 year deal at around £20k a week (reported wages) but when he had that first season he threatened to put transfer request in and we ended upping his wages to £60k just one year on into 4 year deal, even though there was chance it may not have worked when signed!! It is a gamble that these players will either work or not (in Benteke's case) so why does the Villa board haggle over paying players (already known across Europe already; Lukaku, Tadic, Sissoko and the other players we have meant be linked with last few years) for the sake of around £40k a week plus and don't wanna go past £25k a week? when a lot of them will bring in a lot more in shirt sales because of their established name already or being a known up and coming player.. It's a dangerous move and shows how penny pinching Lerner and his cronies are that they are relying on these cheaper wages players to come good when fact is only one or two do, and would get better value for money getting better plays on better money and if don't work out more chance of getting most of our money back!!

Rather we went for someone like Luciano Narsingh (PSV) than average crap like Aaron Lennon!!

To the guy suggesting Danny Ings and Charlie Austin, simply won't happen, as they will be in higher demand now.. We are best off taking a chance (more realistic option on) a goalscoring Championship striker such as Callum Wilson (Bournemouth) but the way he is playing/scoring i doubt we will be able to get them now either, i have been mentioning Wilson since he was at Coventry and the kid is a very good player indeed who given a chance in Premiership (maybe next season for them) will bang them in no doubt.

If Lambert is given the full money to spend, I'd take that deal. As Oz says though, we need quality further up the field. It would make so much difference to our season. If they wanted Vlaar and Delph maybe could try to swap one of them for Borini or out of favour Coutinho? who never seems to play that much anymore

Few rumours going around (probably twitter/facebook talk though) that Giampaolo Pazzini could be coming on loan. There was newspaper speculation linking him a month ago.

He didn't impress that much or score many at Watford (On Loan) And if you are going on about Charlton standard. Igor Vetokele (Charlton) is a much better striker than Andi, so not sure what your point is? Plenty of strikers in Championship who are better than Weimann and some include Callum Wilson, Vetokele, Jordan Rhodes..
