    Don think I agree on Westwood. Looks tidy but we are badly missing a midfield presence.

    I dont see what difference giving Lambert more money will make. He had money in the summer and bought in 8 players with no prem experience. He bought pretty much a whole new defence and midfield which doesnt look good enough. Which of those players do we now expect him to replace? He has one of the premier leagues most consistent goal scorers but doesnt want to play him, he had the option of going back in for Clint Dempsey on deadline day but chose not to. The only options I see are to support his team and methods or not. I dont think money in January will suddenly mean a raft of experience premier league players.

    I meant in terms of the players we sign. Where we are in the league doesn't matter, only the money you offer the clubs and the wages you offer the players.

    Not for me, think he'd have scored one out of three and been quite happy. Recent events aside I dont think hes a team player and have said so for a while. If were selling, do it early, dont sell to a relegation rival, spend the money on a strong central midfield player with Premier League experience. Maybe one of the west brom pair, performances and league positions are irrelevant, transfer fees and wages count.

    I dont see why he felt the need to give the quotes but its doesnt bother me. Bent left sunderland for us when we were below them in the league, recently Lambert left Norwich for us when we had finished below them also. Why? Money. If Benteke performs well for us, he'll get a move to another club. As long as he earns it, he'll go with my blessing as Young and Barry did, If not ill reserve the right to boo him.

    Ive said for a few weeks, I could see a better return against the big clubs. Forced to concede possession and counter attack. Could work for us if we are tight defensively.

    Not a midfielder for me, would like to see him upfront but think hes to similar to Benteke, in that I mean he wants to get a yard and shoot. Always looking for the shot. Think Benteke needs a grafter next to him like Gabby, prepared to operate in the channels.

    yes, a similar role that Fletcher may well perform for them. Hes pretty much 1 in 2 for them, remind you of anyone. All im saying is that its easy to look at another team and laugh at there signings. They have spent 15m on a championship striker who already has a decent return for them. We have an 18m striker stuck on our bench.

    To be fair, all players have off days. Worth noting that he has scored all of there goals this season. Before we laugh to much though, 15m for Fletcher is looking a better deal than the 18-24m weve paid for a player to sit on our bench.

    this has been my take on the season. The people writing us off because of our form, fail to take into account the teams around us. We dont need to become an amazing world beating team over night. We just need to be better than 3 of QPR, Southampton, Norwich, Wigan, Reading and quite possibly Stoke, Sunderland and Swansea.

    Ive very little doubt in my mind that we are among the premier leagues bottom 6 clubs. What I havent decided yet is whether we are bottom 3 or not. I look at our squad and think it is one of the worst i've seen as a villa fan. I havent see the hunger that others talk about in our players (just the youth). I support Lambert but I dont trust him (you earn that), I believe Randy would let him take us down. I dont think Darren Bent will be with us (or wants to be with us) after January.

    No problem with the trial, its not for me but i dont see why people expect it to herald the return of cheaper seats. Who is likely to take the standing areas? current holte enders. Will it attract more fans? i dont think so. By charging cheaper ticket prices, the club earns less. If this was something they were prepared to do, theyd do it now. For me its simply another PR exercise.

    Do you think Lambert will want more money for transfers and would you trust him with it. He made 8 transfers across pretty much every position? Arguably some of his signings are the ones that need replacing, strengthening.

    Investment in January is unlikely to change things. Lambert made 8 signings in the summer. He bought players in for nearly every position. He chose youth over experience. I don't see how more of the same will make us any better. We either need to accept his squad and his methods or start wanting him out.

    Misfiring? have you levelled that claim at the right striker.

    Perhaps not popular but why not consider a recall for Hutton. His for was poor last season but he hadn't caused trouble that I'm aware of, we're desperate for experienced defenders and others who've done worse are given more chances.

    There is a reason no one plays 3 at the back anymore, we would get murdered. Nobody is keeping clean sheets in the prem anymore. We need to concentrate more on scoring goals, for me that means deciding quickly how we can get something out of bent.

    But have you looked at Bents goal record. Up there with Rooney over the last 5 years. Consistently hitting 1 every 2 games across a number of clubs. He may take a few chances but constantly gets himself into position for another. Benteke may do more for the team but right now we are desperately short of goals and were choosing to not play to the strengths of a man who has consistently scored in the prem.

    The football is undoubtedly better, unfortunately we have become an easy team to beat. Last season we were difficult to beat for long periods, drawing lots of games. No we gift a couple of chances a game and dont take ours.
