  1. Same here Tony. I'm shittin 'em.
  2. We just got approved for a mortgage this week without any fuss at all. We are just an average couple, so it's maybe not as difficult to get a loan as the media are making out.
  3. Me and the wife's fixed rate with NR runs out in July. We got the letter of doom yesterday - basically saying take your business elsewhere. We were hoping to move this year so we could start a family (own a 1-bed flat just now), and hoped to find a house, arrange a new mortgage and move in in July once the NR fixed deal runs out. We've been looking at houses for around a month now, but now I'm shitting it to be honest. I don't know whether to move or not - or whether we could even get a mortgage for a house in the current climate. I don't want to buy a bigger house then be up shit creek a year from now if the economy crashes (which looks like a real possibility atm). Dunno what to do for the best. Whatever happens we're going to need a new mortgage on our flat becuase of this NR fiasco. They told us our payments will double overnight once the fixed rate runs out. It's a mess.
  4. It's all a self-fulfilling prophecy really. All the media scaremongering terrifies prospective house buyers, so they hold off, leading to a slow-down in the market, leading to more scaremongering stories, and around we go again.
  5. If we had no money then why would we be considering a not-for-profit sponsorship deal with a local hospice? It's a messageboard myth the manager hasn't spent any money. Since he's been here considerable fees have been agreed for Petrov, Davies, Young and NRC.
  6. That Jo Stalin was propa nawty.
  7. "There's only one way to find out.....................FIIIIIIIIGGGHHHTTT!!!!!!!"
  8. Fear of crime is far far greater then the actual incidence of crime in this country. Blame the media and their "we're all going to hell in a handcart" bullshit. Crime exists, but it's not as huge a problem as some would have you believe. Drugs are the biggest contributor to crime today - if we had a political party prepared to face up to the realities of the drugs problem and act realistically (legalisation and regulation), it would have a huge effect on low-level crime.

    Alcohol

Increase the legal age of drinking to 25! Might make it harder for for children to openly drink on street corners, and would also reduce the amount of fuckwittery we see in our town centres every weekend by kids who can't hold their ale, which costs the taxpayer billions each year to deal with.
  10. I'm 37. But I still feel 17.
  11. This is the first time I've posted in your thread General - I've never felt as strongly about anything before to warrant bothering you. If this proposal goes ahead it will be the end of the game of football as we know it. If we didn't already suspect that the PL and its Sky Sports bedfellows exist mainly to service the cash cow that is the so-called Big 4, then now we have proof. This proposal is only on the table because they want to take the 'Big 4' clubs to the Far East to rake in the cash, and these clubs won't be drawn against each other to ensure that their will be as many games featuring them as possible, thus maximising revenue. If these unfair rules are invoked and games are played abroad then the league will become totally meaningless. This must never ever happen. For the sake of our beloved club and our national sport I hope Randy and Aston Villa will play a big part in opposing this utter abhorration of an idea. (While I'm on I'd like to thank Randy and all his staff for totally transforming Aston Villa. It's always been good to be a Villa fan, but it's even better with you guys in charge. You're a legend for answering our questions on here. [/brown-nosing])
  12. Spend a lot of time at work on here so I really shouldn't grumble too much I suppose.
  13. 5th, maybe 4th if we are lucky. There's absolutely no reason why we can't continue to get the required results.
  14. Denying our great history because you're scared fans of other clubs will laugh makes no sense to me.
  15. Can't believe some of you want to play down our trophy haul and history. Someone said clubs should only brag about trophies if they are 'one of the best around'. We're the fourth most successful club in English football history - so we are one of the best around. Football did not begin in 1992. Lets enjoy the almost unrivalled heritage and honours roll of our great club, and let's also make sure the world knows all about it. Chelsea fans may laugh, but let them. We will have the last laugh - the outline of the European Cup on our new flag will ensure that.
  16. Voted for number 3 in the survey. Classy.
  17. Your question had been answered about 15 times already. Jeff and Wendy were divorced (no longer married) when the consumation took place with Michael. This means Michael did not have relations with his daughter in law. I think a child could understand that. Hmmm, sorry Terry but I don't think I believe you. That isn't what members of your own group were saying in the film. Oh and thanks for the patronising comment at the end.
  18. Yes. Can I come for a visit? I promise I'll be discreet Just say God sent you Rob, and you can fill yer boots. They're suckers for that kinda talk.
  19. Terry, I notice you've not answered my previous question about whether Michael's son (Jeff?) was actually divorced from his wife at the time Michael and her "consumated" the marriage at the behest of God. You claimed they were divorced at that time. Can you just clarify that please?
  20. She and Michael both said in the film that God told them that Michael had to consumate the marriage. So he had sex with her (his son's wife). Are you saying they were divorced at this point? I seem to remember you saying earlier in the thread that they had "agreed to separate" for a while so that the consumation could take place. So which is it?
  21. Well if you has seen it I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be as accommodating to this guy. To everyone on here who is saying "Lay off him", his so-called Messiah goes to bed with naked teenage girls because "God wants them too", and screwed his own daughter-in-law because "it was God's will". He's a sicko. Terry is doing a gallant job at making this nutcase group sound legitimate and interesting, but I would be willing to bet that within 12 months "Michael the Messiah" will be in jail. You may think he sounds interesting but he is fronting up for a man who, at best, is treading a very thin line by encouraging underage girls to come into his bed naked. Ian is perfectly correct and this thread should be locked really.
  22. Did you actually see the TV show BOF?
  23. To me he looked and sounded like an old pervert with a straggly beard and a Messiah complex.
  24. Hearing the voice of God? That's called schizophrenia Terry.
