It could be that throwing money at the club to rebuild the team wasn't and has never been the answer? In which case that's the Doctor's fault. It didn't work with Garde, it didn't work with Sherwood, it didn't work with Di Matteo and it isn't working with Bruce. But now we have established a decent squad and a PROVEN manager (multiple times, whether you like it or not), let the person who built it manage it and form it into a winning side without blowing yet another wad of cash. We have the team now, we don't need new players or new managers or new coaches. We need STABILITY. Chopping and changing hasn't worked the last 10 times and it won't work this time. Stick with the manager. Build HIS team and we will get promotion. We need patience. It's alarming how we haven't learnt anything from past mistakes... Think about your own jobs and bosses. How would your working life be if the people directing you change every 6-12 months? It's the same for the footballers themselves...

I can't bear this endless manager out talk. Bruce was and is definitely the correct man for the job. I honestly don't think we would ever support a manager. In all my time of supporting Villa, I don't think there has been a manager who we have all got behind.

His job? I can't imagine a world where Villa fans wouldn't be calling for blood after a bad run. Besides he gave Green a chance and clearly determined RHM wasn't quite ready. Other then them and maybe Lyden, who else is there? In any event our academy has struggled to create decent players for a while. It's a bit of a myth that we have a good academy if you ask me. Other than Gary Cahil I can't think of any exceptional talent we have produced other than if you count Gareth Barry (which I don't think you can) or maybe at a stretch Darius Vassell.

I quite genuinely believe that he is absolutely no better than Lansbury or Hourihane. I've not once seen him do anything impressive. Sucked at arsenal, sucked for England, sucked for Bournemouth, he just isn't a good player. I would also add he's the kind of over-priced, over-paid, unfit "exciting" name we've had our fingers burned by over and over again.

Not sure why he even bothered joining us in the first place.
