is anybody else following the live commentary on sky website? a minute ago it was someone typing stuff and he was saying the penalty decision was harsh on villa as he's seen them given. it's been changed now to generic responses. he obviously pissed of the FA and has been moved on to something else

i think you must be confused... What i said was HAD we signed players, our chances of survival would have been better than our chances of automatic promotion next year. What isn't clear in that statement that makes you think i am saying we signed players?

correct me if i am wrong but doesnt Gabby have a pretty good record in derby matches? Some would argue that that is scoring goals when your team needs them... I seem to recall he has scored a few against Man City too... Dont get me wrong, Gabby is a has-been. But he WAS much better than many people would have you believe when he was firing on all cylinders

Im also pretty sure i remember one being given at villa park against middlesbrough in the early naughties But then its not something new that refs dont know the rules either!

Actually no team has avoided relegation after having only 7 pts at xmas. 7 pts is also the equal lowest pts tally at xmas in the prem era. Unless we plan to set a positive record (for a change) then i think we are doomed...

May i remind you that world class players have found it hard to adapt to english football. It took denis bergkamp over a year to settle and hes not an ordinary player. Thats one of the biggest issues i have with the club and a number of fans - if players arent instantly brilliant they must be shit. :sigh:

There are no words strong enough to describe how devestated i will be. I break down in tears every week watching us throw games away without a fight. With relegation (and lets face it, short of a miracle, we are relegated) means no sale. No sale means little to no investment. Any decent players we have will leave and most on high wages will be axed. I fear with the rot at the core of this club we are destined for consecutive relefations...

For what its worth, i agree that kozak deserves a go. Gestede has done very little if anything (other than a goal line clearance) in the team. So little has he added that many have commented that we would be better off with 10 on the pitch not 11. So if gestede has performed so poorly then putting kozak on in his place, even if he were to turn out to be shit, represents a very small risk. I think any manager not willing to drop a forward who is clearly out of form and low on confidence, with perhaps a more limited player (in that managers apparent opinion) who appears to be in good form in competitive matches, is nost definitely missing a trick. I can only imagine that for the manager not to consider kozak something has hapened behind closed doors to warrant exclusion. But we will never know for sure

Or perhaps he has given up on both of them and seeing as how someone wants to take kizak off our hands he is taking the opportunity to get rid of a stroker so he can bring another one on who he thinks can do a job

its controversial, but having watched a number of replays, i think Southampton's goal is primarily Guzan's fault. The ball bounces inside the 6 yard box - if it can bounce in the box without a touch the keeper should be on it. That's not to say that Sanchez didn't lose his man, but I'd expect the keeper to be claiming that

Journalist? Please don't take the piss. He's a pundit and a poor one at that. Don't mistake that for being a journalist which takes years of training and understanding. Actually you can get a journalist qualification in less than 12 months at most universities... Which one does Collymore have? Dont recall saying that he did... was just pointing out that a journalistic qualification isnt a long or complex process. Hell when i was at university i took a journalist course and passed and im useless at journalism! I suppose the real point is any odiot can pass an exam to get a qualification - it doesnt mean they are any good at it (many certified managers to choose from to prove this) Likewise you dont have to be certified/qualified to be good at something. For instance i run a business intelligence department for a reasonably large and well known company and i have less experience in the field than either garde or sherwood have in football and i have no relevant qualification. However, my department halved the companies expenses this year and nearly double profits - so id say im doing ok...
