Yes but I prefer the lateral motion of the leg press rather than the rotary motion of the calf press, if that's ok? Or should I just whack the bike into a high gear and save the argument?

It's a perfectly legitimate use of equipment. Curls in squat rack is silly, I do them on the treadmill.

I use the leg press to do calf raises and you should see the looks I get, it's like I'm doing so mething illegal..

@Chindie that sounds scarily like my road!! Only difference is its random people that park in front of my house. I have a van so I have no choice but to reverse onto my drive because I can't see the road if I reverse off. I completely feel your anger.

There's also a brilliantly simple app I use through my iPad called "Loopy HD" which is great for little jams on your own. A boss loop pedal costs around £60. This app cost about £3.
