  1. Definitely has 2 feet but, but both left footed
  2. Yes, I was at the match he was woeful
  3. He knocked a number of long cross field balls today esp. in the first half, it was Gardner who was doing the above and giving the ball away easily.
  4. Don't know how you come to these views, I was at Villa park and thought he had a very good game against some good opposition
  5. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/what-roberto-di-matteo-say-11681136 Idrissa Gana is on the verge of leaving Villa Park - here's what Di Matteo has said Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed that Idrissa Gana will leave Aston Villa. The Italian admitted that he wanted Gana to stay but said his ‘hands were tied’ because of the £7.1m release clause in the midfielder’s contract. Everton have lodged a bid and are hoping to seal the move this weekend but other clubs can still make bigger offers. Gana's release clause expires at the end of July but there’s no chance of Villa keeping hold of him now. Di Matteo said: “It’s public that Everton has triggered the clause in his contract. “He’s going to leave. “There’s no news so far but the expectation is once personal terms are agreed and he passes his medical, he’s going to go.” A move is not expected to be completed until the end of the weekend as Villa are still hoping for higher offers. “There are other clubs interested,” Di Matteo confirmed “But the only official bid so far has been Everton.” Clearly, the Villa boss wanted Gana to stay. He saw him as the ideal midfielder to help lead a promotion assault back to the Premier League but could do nothing to prevent his exit. “There’s not much you can do because he has a clause in his contract. “My hands are tied. We’ll be losing him. “The fact that he is leaving is down to the clause he had in his contract. “Otherwise there would have been no chance. “We’re not a club who is looking to sell. “We don’t have to, we don’t need to.”
  6. Different times and different teams, if Gana joins Everton next year we will probably be able to see who indeed is the better of the two.
  7. http://www.footballinsider247.com/aston-villa-flop-guzan-agrees-two-year-deal-with-middlesbrough-report/ Two-year deal clinched after Aston Villa talks – report 27th July, 2016, 7:22 PM By Alex Taylor Brad Guzan is close to leaving Aston Villa after agreeing a two-year deal with Middlesbrough, according to a report. The Guardian claim that Guzan is no longer wanted by Villa and is expected to join Boro on a free transfer even though his contract with the Midlands contract runs for another year. It is said that the USA international is due to sign a contract this summer that will keep him at the Riverside until 2018. The 31-year-old will face stiff competition as former Barcelona ace Victor Valdes and Dimi Konstantopoulos have already joined Aitor Karanka’s side in the current transfer window. Villa have sanctioned the exit of Guzan after his form slipped alarmingly over the last 24 months and they conceded 76 goals last season in their relegation from the Premier League. Continuous mistakes, poor distribution and a lack of confidence has led to the American’s downfall, despite being named the club’s player of the year for the 2012-13 season. Villa owner Tony Xia informed supporters on his personal Twitter account that up to four players will depart the Championship club this week as manager Roberto Di Matteo trims his oversized squad. The news of Guzan’s imminent exit will please supporters as they can now look to support their young shot-stopper Gollini in his first season with the club.
  8. At the start of the season I genuinely thought he was much better than Delph, but definitely declined as the season went on, he will do well at Everton
  9. If we could get 0.5% of that backing it would be a sucess
  10. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/07/26/u23-in-premier-league-2 Villa’s youngsters will play in Premier League Two next season. For the 2016/17 season, Premier League 2 will replace the current U21 league and the eligible age range will be extended to incorporate U23s. The Premier League has announced significant changes to its Professional Development Phase programme with the introduction of this new league. In a move to establish Premier League 2 as a standalone competition, these changes to the U21 system have been designed to improve and increase opportunity for players to move into the first team. The claret and blues are targeting another prosperous season after reaching the play-off final in 2015/16, losing to Arsenal at The Emirates.
