    Just an inkling he'll be off. If this is true I just cannot see how he will stay on. Karsa is his brother in law and confidant for christ's sake, and Culverhouse is his right hand man.

    With Lambert in charge for the rest of the season I reckon we'll actually finish on LESS points than McLeish did. How anyone, even the most ardent Lambophile can find that acceptable & want him to remain next season is an absolute mystery. In any case, he's a dead man walking. Gone either after Southampton or after the last match in my opinion.

    Must be Dec 2012 then. If you are going off plane records for evidence I doubt he'd just fly over from america (7+hr flight), watch a match and then fly back straight away in one day. Is that sort of thing even possible? You'd be destroyed.

    When was he last at a game? I don't recall him coming this year or last season at any point, I could usually see him and his entourage from my seat.

    Completely agree that it is insulting. No doubt it took them about five minutes to type out. I just think they got an unpaid intern to find a copy of the message that was sent out 2 years ago and changed a few words and phrases around. Desperate stuff and has completely failed to achieve what it set out to do. If anything this could make the atmosphere worse on saturday, Faulkner thinks we are a bunch of mugs.

    Just goes to show what high hopes we had for Lambert back in 2013. I'd now have him near the bottom of that list after his shambolic performance as Villa manager, he's right up there with McLeish and McNeill as one of the worst we've had. He joins a long list of lower league managers who got found out at this level. He won't be the last!

    ....which is why the man needs to go right away. He's going to contribute towards creating a poisonous atmosphere for the final few games of the season when our fragile bunch of poor lambs need total encouragement. tbh I think he'll resign after the final game

    I think Gianfranco Zola would be a good shout. He'd certainly get more out of this crop of players than McLeishbert. We should have appointed Mark Hughes when we had the chance. He's slowly rebuilding his reputation at Stoke and has worked on a shoestring to do it.

    In the long term, yes. But you can't possibly tell me right now that keeping that mumbling idiot in charge is the answer. Even Kevin McDonald would get more out of these players. Sid Cowans in now I say, let him have his opportunity, he has earned it!

    Yep, I'm hearing the fans at the game today have let him know in no uncertain terms that he's a useless word removed. Apparently when he tried to go over to clap the away fans they turned on him en masse. Dead man walking.
